Circa 1877 house with identical closets built either side of a chimney in the master suite had absolutely NO storage with just a normal clothes hanging rod in each. 10 foot ceilings let us build high, but we needed a system that wasn't wide. Found this & thought it was worth a try. SO HAPPY with the outcome!! Storage galore!! Note: ~We built this inside the closet as the 1877 closet door wasn't wide enough to place the system inside after assembly, so test your's by trying to move the bottom rack into the closet (like the unit was already assembled) before assembling it then trying to move the unit into place. ~We also customized the height between shelves & where each of us needed our hanging rods to be. This thing came wrapped in like 30 ultra thick zip ties holding it together. Even my best scissors couldn't stand up to the challenge. Finished the project with my fingers aching. It's packaged with such care to prevent damage; but I scratched the paint around every single zip tie trying to get the awful things off, because it was impossible not to. Fix the packaging! The shirts drag at the bottom of the other pole and I wear S-M so I know it’s not user error. No biggie tho, I just ordered another one and I’ll separate the longer shirts from shorter ones so it fits better.
