  • Extremely well designed and made
As an engineer I am always pleased with a well-thought out design. This certainly is one. I was a little bit concerned that it is made from wood but that should not affect anyone's decision--it is not lacking in strength! It is not particularly easy to assemble. The instructions are clear but need to be followed carefully. To paraphrase a saying, read twice and assemble once. It's easy to make a mistake and have to redo. ... show more

  • Excellent Addition For A Home Woodworking Shop
It is a big very well made machine. Bob’s guidance through the start up process is absolutely superb. Don’t sit on the decision fence about this one. Pull the trigger. I did and I am very, very pleased.

  • Assemble problem
It has very serious assemble problems. The holes, slots are not fit to allign. They sent less wood part than their assembly manual. It is the disaster of making it. I never ever recommend it. Don’t buy and save your money for something better. Wasting money, wasting time!!!!!!!!! I’m prime member for 7 years It is my biggest regret to order. Again don’t buy it ... show more

  • Great CNC and outstanding customer service
Very happy with my CNC. Easy to assemble with detailed instructions. Plus the customer service for bobs CNC is on point. Very helpful and courteous reps who reply very quickly. If you're on the fence just do it. You won't be disappointed.

  • great customer service.
New to cnc. The product comes with a router and the customer service is not amazon, but the seller it self that communicates and very helpful. I like the service and response.

  • Lacking.
The media could not be loaded. Instructions could use some attention (poorly illustrated). Laser cut parts that don't have laser cut part numbers burned into them... Cmon. INCLUDED Loctite would've been nice considering $2200 spent on the starter BUNDLE that saved me all of $50 when compared to buying each component separately. Black oxide TORX or ALLEN head button screws would've been ideal, especially if they'd been paired with threaded inserts in lieu of metric nuts needing to be taped in place in order to receive the liberally thread locked Phillips head screws. (Neither tape nor locking compound is provided). Regardless of the amount of thread locker used, the set screws on the z axis stepper shaft kept coming loose, destroying material while putting my shop in danger of incineration. Software could use some tweaking. A "Keep screen awake" feature would be SWEET, obviously. All in all, It DOES work. Just not as efficient/reliably as other CNCs in its price range. 50-1/4 x 23-1/2 is the true cutting area on the QUANTUM MAX. ... show more
