I was looking for the perfect lamp to add to my office and I found it. This lamp adds the perfect decor that I needed but also functional as well. When I go into my office I want to just be able to turn it on with the touch of a button, and not have to reach over everything to turn the knob to turn it on, and the same goes when I go to leave after a long day at my desk. So having a remote that not only allows you to turn it off and on but adjust the brightness, put it on a timer is the top selling point besides the look of the lamp for me. The look of the lamp is the 1st most important besides the remotes. This lamp has that modern country farm house look to it with the sleek metal pole, but then with the wooden cube with the rope wrapped around it and the rope covered metal lamp shade. Then you have the wood shelf half way down that you can use for just about anything, decorations, storage, functional etc. Then the lamp is finished off with the modern base of the black metal pole and round base that makes it secure and stable to put the lamp anywhere in you office or house that you would like. The assembly of the lamp was very easy and I was able to do it all by myself without the help of my husband. It came with instructions that were very self explanatory and easy to follow. It probably took me maybe 30 minutes or so to put the lamp together by myself. This lamp is a great addition to anyone’s office or home. It has a lot of extras that make it worth the price for the value that your are getting with all the little extras that come with this lamp. I love this lamp and will definitely be looking into this company to see what other things they have to offer. Changed out the LED bulb for an incandescent, not realizing that I could change to a "warm" LED rather than the cold bug light that came on and repelled me at first. It's a nice addition to a section of my new rental home that doesn't have lighting in the living room area. Because it's filtered through the netting, it doesn't give off a ton of light but it's enough to help see and create a mood. I think the rope wrapped around the wood piece is cute, could go with many themes including nautical. For me, it's part of a boho hodgepodge, and I definitely like it more than other floor lamps I've tried out recently. Easy to assemble. Would look cool with a colored bulb too. ... show more

Fits great on an empty corner in my living room. Height is perfect, setting it up was fairly easy, comes with a remote to change the settings from the brightness to the color temperature (I prefer the warm setting). It has a foot switch for easy on/off instead of unplugging or constantly having to use the control. The sturdiness is okay, not wobbly unless you're messing with it but it shouldn't be a problem. The small circle table is a plus and it adds extra charm which makes it even more cute, you can use it for a small plant, remotes, candle, pretty much any added decor will make it look adorable.
