Overall I'm very impressed with the bike, especially at this price point. I do think it's worth noting that the bike is very heavy. Heavier than you're probably thinking. The frame and "bike" part alone is solid, add the battery to that and you're dealing with a heavy piece of equipment overall. Everything was well packaged, and the finishes are mostly good. There is a bit of paint chip just around the edges of some of the stuff I received, but it's extremely minor finish stuff. Bike went together well. I put it together solo in about 45 minutes. The instructions aren't great for two main reasons: - The parts (especially some of the bolt on "accessories" type things have changed since they were printed, which makes some of the instructions unclear until you realize it isn't relevant to that part - The pictures are small and zoomed out That said, there are great YouTube videos out there to help with assembly. First test ride went great, went to the top of a large hill by my house and back four times and didn't feel like I was dying. The pedal assist (especially with some momentum) is phenomenal. Everything feels stout and well built. The seat is very comfortable and the suspension rides well. I have some minor stuff to tune up but overall I'm incredibly happy after two rides and about ten miles on it. Note that if you're in an apartment, like I am, it is a big bike and you'll need some room to work. I cut half the box off and built on that with the foam inside and it kept everything nice and protected but easy to work on. It rides well, the motor assist seems great, and the included accessories kit was a nice touch. Because it is so big and my apartment has a hard turn right inside the door I opted to leave it outside with the included cover for the time being and it all comes together quite well and keeps it decently protected. I bring the battery in whenever I'm done and the charger works for either direct to bike or battery solo which is great. Overall I'm happy with the purchase. I wouldn't whip this thing down single track trails or downhill trails due to the size, but for a ride around/gravel/bike trail/logging road setup I don't think you could do better at this price. ... show more

    • Great E-Bike - Comfortable & Reliable, Does Exactly What We Needed
I purchased this e-bike for my father, who wanted something to utilize throughout his neighborhood and on his property at home that wasn’t going to destroy the landscaping or his yard. This bike arrived when expected (shipping time was maybe a week or so, but that’s understandable for such a large item). The bike had to be assembled upon arrival and the instructions were fairly easy to follow - we did feel like some of the instructions were maybe out-dated or had older model part information on them, but nonetheless the assembly was easy to figure out and we had the bike put together pretty quickly. The bike rides great and is comfortable. It looks exactly like the pictures included in the advertisements, and the color/pattern is very appealing. We typically only use the bike for shorter periods of time (not traveling long distances or over long periods of time!) so the charge seems to last a while before we have to recharge it. Overall, we didn’t know much about PUCKIPUPPY before purchasing this bike but we are happy with our investment! The bike arrived and runs as expected and is great for riding around on our property (grassy, gravelly hills) and going between houses in the neighborhood. I never thought i would ever purchase eBike, but never say never. You see, I used to bike an avid cyclist on and off road (Kestrel, Trek, etc) but as life, family and career developed, biking gradually moved to the back burner. That is until our niece and her daughter brought over their eBikes. I was reluctant to test drive because i just didnt like the idea of an electric bike but at the same time, i didnt want to spoil her excitement. On first ride, something within me sparked and the fond memories and joy of and cycling was re-ignited. Not really wanting to fork up the cash of the expense of an eBike, coupled with wife likely opposion, eBike was not an option; but i, being the man in this relationship and former former US Army Infantry Officer, took the initiative and went with my gut instinct and purchased two Puckipuppy Labradors without consulting or collaborating with the commander (my wife). Wouldnt you know it, "BAM," she loved the eBike. The bikes were easy to put together with assembly taking appx 30 minutes. Fine adjustments were performed later after initial ride. My bike worked flawlessly out of the box, however, her bike did come with a glitch. When bike was turned on, an error message popped up: "Brake sensor error."Contacted Amazon as well as Puckipuppy (PP) via phone to troubleshoot issue. It was determined that sensor needed replacing. PP offered to send replacement part plus a refund of $110. The refund went through and PP sent sensor along with the whole brake system consisting brake lever, hydraulic cable and caliper, among other things. The parts arrived in a timely manner and only the sensor was replaced and it certainly rectified the issue. Cudos to PP for friendly, technically accurate and efficient customer service. Given bike has as i recall, a 3yr warranty, i am confident that if any issues develop, PP will again effectively facilitate a remedy. The bikes are awesome, 50-80miles w pedal assist, comfy seat, hydraulic disc brakes, lights, etc. Speed limited to 20mph but it can be programmed to remove 20mph limit, and bump it up to +30mph. Great purchase from Amazon and great tech support from Puckipuppy. Even though this eBike is heavy relative to my carbon bikes, i was definitely not gonna spend $6k-9k for the higher end models. This puppy met the parameters for power, acceleration, comfort and braking ability; safe and fun for neighborhood rides to the park, hill climbing, running errands, etc. Highly recommend folks!! ... show more

Bike came packaged extremely well. Set up was easy. Bike is well built and adjusting functions is easy. Riding it is a breeze. The ride is comfortable, the motor easily takes up the load. It probably isn’t suitable for intense off road activities but at the price it punches above its weight. I highly recommend. Customer service is also first rate.
