I’ve used Spirit Gum in the past for elf ear prosthetics, and it’s worked fine. This year, though, while directing Beauty and the Beast Jr., we really struggled to get the Beast’s facial prosthetics to stay stuck for the whole show with Spirit Gum. After prosthetics fell off multiple times during dress rehearsals, I began investigating other options. Everyone online kept pointing to Pros-Aide. I ordered this just hoping it would be our solution… and it definitely was! It worked so much better than Spirit Gum. We ran through the show five times (2 dress rehearsals and 3 shows) and only had an issue during the final show. The chin prosthetic started to come off due to the actor getting really sweaty (the house was packed that night), but we used the Pros-Aide to reapply it backstage while he wasn’t in a scene, and it held for the rest of the show. The only drawbacks are that it is significantly more pricey per ounce than Spirit Gum. It was worth it for our show, but might not be if you’re using simpler prosthetics on parts of the body that don’t move quite as much (like the ears). I do wish it had been a little more sweat-resistant as well, but it was definitely waaaay more sweat-resistant than Spirit Gum. If you purchase, do make sure to follow the application instructions precisely (apply to both the skin and the prosthetic and wait until both are clear and tacky before putting the prosthetic on the skin). It’s a bigger size and better hold than spirit gum. Also water resistant. Glued a syringe to my arm and it didn’t move for 8 hours, than was easy to remove. Good adhesive.

I think I’m going to have black crap on my hairline and in my ears for a while. The adhesive worked very well. My prosthetic was a bit thick, so I had difficulty, but trying to get that mess off with the included remover was a massive pain in the arse. First, that chemical smells like right out of a DuPont facility m, complete with wafting fumes that likely burn the top layer of your eyes off. Then you’re supposed to let it sit for a minute and then remove. Remove what? Ain’t nothin’ coming off. We basically got old school turpentine to get the adhesive off. Anyway, I’ve got the adhesive all over my bathroom sink and may even have a few cat paw prints in it because I turned the dang bottle over. Make sure you pour a little in a secondary container and that your applicator is smaller than your container. I used a beauty sponge, and that turned into a total shit show. ... show more

Just be sure you put the right amount on and that your sure you know where your gonna place what ever prosthetics you may use. Not easy to get off skin after item removal. Need good cotton rag or cloth to wipe adhesive efficiently off the prosthetics. Some residue may remain but almost readheres with the residue but not as strong. ... show more

Purchased to adhere a pair of hefty 1000g D cup breast forms. They do a fantastic job at holding my two cups to the skin. Considering the heft, I wouldn't expect them to hold the pair for long periods on it's own, but they do the job with the support of a light sports bra to maintain constant adhesion, providing far more realistic fit and bounce for normal wear in cool enviornments. The only downside I've found is the adhesive leaves a residue afterwards on the prosthetic, which takes a god awfully long time to rub off, with the adhesive remover doing little to aid in cleanup. That being said, I've found that I personally don't notice any excessive residue left on my skin, and a short shower leaves me clean and clear of the stuff Overall, I'd feel comfortable recommending this to others for similar use, especially with a smaller breast form size! ... show more

I love this product! It just stuck to my face a little too well… I used it for glitter adhesive for a makeup look that was supposed to last for 8 hours. Not only did it last for the 8 hours, but it lasted almost 12. The thing that i’m not crazy about is that the remover is total not eye/face safe. It was irritating and painful. ... show more
