  • Simple! Great coffee!!
Color: Silver Size: 9 Cup
I bought this moka pot because I had to drastically decrease the amount of coffee I was drinking due to some health issues. My friend recommended this method of preparing a good cup of coffee over a French press. I was skeptical, but went with the Primula. The price was right, and I am pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use and how nice a cup of coffee it makes! I got the 9 cup. It makes about 16 oz coffee, which is now my daily limit. I highly recommend this product. I also ordered extra gaskets, just in case it needs a replacement someday. ... show more

  • Cute little coffee maker
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup
I really like this little Primula , the second time I used it I didn’t grind the coffee as fine. I like cappuccino ‘s mostly , but the most important thing use good strong coffee. I also have a Nespresso machine but it’s fun to try different types. I would buy again I have the six cup one. It’s also easy to clean. But the handle is plastic so don’t put on the heat I have an electric stove I just put it on the outside and use a mitt when pouring in cup. I think it is well made and not too expensive. ... show more

  • Easy to clean and efficient
Color: Silver Size: 3 Cup
I bought this so I could quickly make espresso without a whole machine and it works great. It is easy to clean and the perfect size for just one person.

  • Great little coffee pot
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup
I’ve used this coffee pot several times and it works wonderfully. It can’t make a huge amount of coffee, but I think it’s meant more for espresso shot-esque coffee sizes anyway. The coffee turns out pretty good and the pot is easy to clean. It seems like a number of these reviews run the pot through the dishwasher and that’s why they’re saying the metal finish comes off…. I’m not sure why you would ever run an item like this through the dishwasher, it’s clearly a hand wash only item lol…. My only complaint is that it leaks a little bit when pouring and I always try to screw the top on extra tight but no luck! Very small complaint as it’s a tiny leak and I just make sure to pour the coffee over the sink. Anyway good pot! Don’t put it through the dishwasher! ... show more

  • Great for the price!
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup + Frother
Okay so I’ve had this little thing for about a week now and I gotta say I’m really happy with it! It’s sturdy, looks nice, and makes great coffee! I have used it on both an electric stove and a gas stove and haven’t had any problems with the handle getting too hot to grab. I had it leak while pouring once and I just solved that by pouring at less of an angle and haven’t had any issues since. Really a great pot for a great price. ... show more

  • Great for making decoction for S. Indian "filter coffee", but be careful about the handle
Color: Silver Size: 6 Cup + Frother
I love my S. Indian filter coffee. The gravity driven process for making decoction is time consuming, especially when you want you first coffee as soon as possible. So, I switched to using a chickory blend in my Keurig. close, but not the same. Then I read about the Moka pot, where the pressured steam passes through the coffee grounds and maked the decoction/espresso. Curious, and not wanting to spend a whole lot of money, I bought this. I made my first batch of decoction with Udhayam Indian coffee/chicory blend and was blown away! It took just 3 minutes and I had strong decoction to make four 8 oz cups of strong "filter coffee" with whole milk! My American family loves my filter coffee. I make 20 cups for thanksgiving and I used this moka pot to make all the decoction/espresso. Caution/Warning: I did multiple batches of espresso back to back and at some point the plastic handle melted and stuck to my finger when I picked it up. To be fair to the seller, they do warn us to not keep the handle close to the fire. My tips to a good espresso: Fill the bottom with lukewarm water below the safety valve. Fill the coffee grounds in the container and slightly tamp it down. Screw the top on. Heat at medium or below and let the espresso come out at the top. Lower the heat and let the process finish. Immediately transfer the espresso to a different container to prevent scorching. I have used Indian filter coffee brands (Kothas, Udhayam) and Costco dark roast with great success. Hope you find this review useful. ... show more

  • Great coffee, here is my honest review
Color: Silver Size: 12 Cup
This Primula 12-Cup Aluminum stovetop Espresso coffee makers is a copy of Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Percolator at half the price. I have used Bialetti for almost all of my life until I moved to the U.S. I used Bialetti for a while but was disappointed with the coffee quality (due to the beans, not the Bialetti per se), so I switched to different other systems trying to get the perfect cup of coffee (I have actually tried them all, so I really know what I am talking about). I finally settled with Nespresso, which is the absolute winner in coffee making around the world. As I wrote someplace else, the only better coffee you can get, better than Nespresso, is at a coffee place in Rome named La Tazza d'Oro, near the Pantheon -just google it up and you will see pictures, etc. If you want to know my opinion, Bialetti system comes #2, very very close (to the point that if you do not want to spend big money on Nespresso machine and/or be forced to buy their capsules, Bialetti IS the way to go), but it all depends on the coffee, obviously. Something you do not need to worry with Nespresso because you always get consistently the best possible coffee, every time, no matter what (this is a very important consideration, because depending where you live, you may not be able to buy excellent/outstanding coffee beans, so you will never get a great cup of espresso with this machine. Also, I do realize coffee is above all about personal taste, so you may be happy with a regular Joe at your local convenience store ... nothing wrong about it, it is your coffee, I am just talking from the perspective of a European person who is absolutely obsessed with coffee and tried dozens of varieties and systems ... the only part of the coffee industry I am not familiar with is the actual growing of it, but I am actually planning on to join an enterprise venue in Guatemala and Costa Rica so I can also speak from that perspective as well). Anyway, now to this Primula. I have tried it with Costa Rica coffee from cost co, and with and the results were great, as far as I can tell, same as I remember with Bialetti, The difference of the prince may be due to this being a new brand (for as far as I can tell), so they want to get some share of the market and their products are being marked down. Also, this is made in China, which is a bummer to tell you the truth. Bialettis are made in Italy, and you can't beat (you can get close, but not surpass) the quality of aluminum products made in Italy. Finally, I jut got this machine a couple of weeks ago, so I can NOT tell you if this is durable, or speak about the quality on the long term. Usually, all the Bialettis I purchased and used in the past lasted forever, literally, and me purchasing a new one was because of gifts, or because I needed a smaller/bigger one, etc. As a matter of fact, these things make better coffee as they get older. If you are planning on purchasing this, I absolutely recommend you to do so. Go ahead, you will get great espresso coffee on your stovetop IF you spend some good money on good quality coffee (most of the coffee sold in the U.S. does not fit that category). Also, beat in mind that this is a huge coffee maker, for 12 cups of espresso which is designed for family breakfasts (6 people or more). If you are planning on using this coffee maker for 2/3 cups of coffee, get the smaller one. I hope my honest review was helpful. If you go to Spain, France, Italy, almost everybody has one of these (Bialetti, most likely), and nowadays people also have bought a Nespresso machine in addition to this one, but this one is still being heavily used. Enjoy! ... show more
