When I have to hook up my 5th wheel camper or get things from the middle of my truck bed this is a great step to use. Holds my 265lbs easy. This is my second one. I did a stupid thing and ran over my first one while it was attached still. It still worked but after a while I wore out the bent arm so much I had to trash it. It can take a beating though. Got this for my husband. He has a lifted truck with racks for his fishing gear. This works great! Fits well on his tires and is very sturdy. Folds nicely to fit in the back of his truck.

    • Works on a Dully Truck
I have a GMC 3500HD that I use to pull a 43' 5th Wheel camper. The fenders on the Dully make it difficult to reach the 5th wheel hitch to connect/disconnect the kingpin. Regular ladders don't work, I have a small pull-out side-step that doesn't work, etc. Hitching and unhitching has been a pain to say the least. This step works perfectly. Out of the box it fit over the outside dually tire. No adjustments were needed. I was surprised at how easy it was to use this step and reach the hitch levers and locking pins without having to touch the side of the truck. The build quality is excellent as well. It has good traction that makes it safe to use in bad weather and it folds up in seconds making it easy to store in the bed of the truck when not in use. The only thing to keep in mind is that when using it to hitch a trailer, you have to remember to take it off of the wheel. It goes on so easy, I could see someone in a hurry pulling away without removing it. I think a pull-away issue is less likely to happen when using the step to service the engine since tools and other stuff has to be put away when the project is done. The mechanic's focus is on the truck. When preparing to depart with a camper there are a lot of back and fourth tasks that need to be completed. The step is made out of steel. It would cause serious damage to the truck body if someone was to move while it was on the tire. Hopefully this isn't a problem and everyone remembers, but I would recommend creating a checklist or something that reminds the driver to verify the tire step is stowed. You cannot go wrong with this step no matter what your use case is. The build quality is excellent.     • Works well for what it is.
I'm a bigger guy and it supports me well - no slippage or concern. Only negative is that I wish the adjustable supports that rest against the tire were longer in order to give more clearance to the hubcap -- it just barely cleared on my 3500 Silverado.

This is a great invention, fits over truck car jeep tires so much easier to load and unload stuff. Can reach the top of my jeep quickly. Sturdy, holds my weight and you don't feel like you will tip. Easy on easy off folds nicely to store under back seat or bed or truck.

Our 2022 Ram 1500 is rather tall, even for me and I'm 6'2", so reaching the center of the windshield can be a stretch. Slip this step over the front wheel, step up and you're at windshield level for fast easy cleaning or snow removal in the winter. Have also used it on our rear wheels to access and tie down things in the truck bed rather than climbing in the bed. Easily folds up for flat storage and then flips open when you need it. It seems quite sturdy and feels secure when in place. I would suggest centering it on the wheel because the little rubber bumpers/spacers don't like being crooked but otherwise a great value for the convenience it offers. Strong and durable product, good to have one on my pickup truck Ram 1500 hemi . Without this is hard to reach the engine because those pickups is too high. I do recommend this product, Also is foldable. Now will stay back of my truck.
