We have a small above ground pool, and this is a great size hoop for us. It’s great for friendly games. You might have some trouble with it staying up if you have a particularly rowdy bunch or a pool that allows for more splashing/rough water. That said, this is great for what it is. This was pretty easy to put together and the kids are absolutely loving it in the pool!! This was a great buy as it comes with basketballs and rings so they have a choice.

We use this in the pool and adults and kids have a blast. For being plastic I wasn't expecting much, but it is solidly made and easy to put together with clear instructions. I do wish there were four basketballs instead of two, but that is my only complaint.

    • Holds together well
While it's still just cheap plastic, this is the best version of this kind of pool hoop that I've seen from a staying-together standpoint. The pieces fit together very snugly as long as you assemble them properly. At first, I didn't have the pieces pushed all the way in and they fell apart very easily. I then realized you have to push them fully in until they click. I added some super glue also to be sure. The balls are pretty good quality and much more substantial than a flimsy beach ball. The rings are very lightweight and cheap but they float so they won't get lost at the bottom. ... show more
