  • Nice set
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
We use it regularly for family poker games and the chip weight is really nice to the hand. Would be good for the "Men's poker night" too, I think.

  • Great quality for the price
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
You cannot go wrong for the price, good quality chips. Case is light weight… however you can’t by the chips without for less.

  • Great set for the casual player!
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
I'm very happy with this set. To a casual player, the minor issues should not be a deal breaker and I definitely recommend this set. A little more details... The case has issues as other reviewers have mentioned. If I were to lock it, I'd be worried about it not unlocking, but it's a cheap poker chip set and there's really no need to lock it. The case had some wood pieces inside of it but nothing near as bad as the other reviews would have you believe and it cleaned up just fine. Dents? Check. Cheap? Check. Holds chips without issues? Check. It does what it needs to do so no negative points from me. The chips did not feel cheap to me -- a casual player. There are a couple that had minor chips in them but they have a pretty good weight to them and stack without issue. For what I paid for, I'm more than satisfied with these chips. Had a decent color to them. The cards are not the highest quality, but we were able to make it through a long weekend of poker with them. The cards had a slight bend in them when we were done. Pick up a different set of cards if you're going to be using this regularly. Picked this up to play with friends and had more than enough chips to go around for 6 people. If you have friends that will mock you for having a few chips with a piece of metal showing, this is not the case for you and you shouldn't be looking at cheap sets anyway. If you're having a fun night with friends, buy without worries. ... show more

  • Pretty good set of chips for the price
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
I purchased this set a week ago and my overall impressions are that it is a great set for the price. If you want to start your own game you won't go wrong starting with this set. First Impressions: The packaging for this product was a little on the skimpy side, just an overlong box that had some crumpled paper on each end to protect the sides of the case. No wrapping or protection at all for the top and bottom. There was no apparent shipping damage to the case; however the bottom of the case was missing a rivet. The rivet location seems more visual then structural. After unwrapping and counting the chips (yes I am a bit neurotic) I found that they gave me an extra green and shorted me one black. Not a huge deal, but points to a lack of overall quality control. Positives: Price - The price for 500 chips, plus the case, and the buttons can't be beat. Comparable sets can go for double the price elsewhere. Set - The chips have a nice feel, stack well, and seem sturdy. The other players and I all enjoyed using them for the game. The case feels strong enough to support the weight of the chips (it is not a light set) and looks nice. Also the dealer button has a nice feel and weight to it. The chips fit well in the case, and there is enough room to add some dice and up to 4 decks of cards. Negatives: Quality control issues - Besides the points mentioned earlier, there is slight discoloration on some of the chips (lighter or darker). Also the pattern on some chips was slightly off stamped and there are a couple of chips where I can see a bit of the metal insert. White Chips - I am not sure if the white is showing dirt or they went with a slightly grayish white color, but they do have a dirty looking appearance. Cards - The cards they gave with the set are a bit on the chincy side, I just replaced them with some better decks. ... show more

  • Surprising good--definitely worth it! Great feel, best value.
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
I was genuinely surprised by these chips. I thought they'd be flimsy or feel cheap, but they don't. We use them many times a week to play Blackjack or poker and they work very well. The chips "feel" so good. We loved that the chips were not marked with monetary denominations (we made them $1, $5, $25, and $100, which seems to be standard for many casinos). The handle on the case is cheap compared to the case itself (which is good for the cost), so the handle could be better. Be cautious when lifting the case by that handle. However, the plastic handle isn't worth docking the product itself any stars. I saw that this set, with a damaged case, was selling from the Amazon Warehouse (or whatever it's called) for $10 less than the new price. The case is very handy, so I would hold out for the new set if you can. Bottom line: If you want decent chips at a great price, go for this one! ... show more

  • Was scared after negative reviews, but it worked out, at least for me
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
Read through a lot of reviews. Was scared about both the case and the chip quality. The case: To my surprise, the chip set was mailed in a large box, and inside a smaller box. I guess I was lucky that there wasn't any damage to the case. There is a slight opening on the bottom, so it's not perfect, but perfectly functional. The chips: The chips were good. Exactly on bar with another other home chip set that everyone has. That was all I was looking for, to be honest, in this price range. Based on some of the reviews it seemed like people got chips that were way worse in quality from the norm, which scared me. The chips were a little chalky so I decided to wash all of them before using. It was fine after that. PS- I paid $33 for this. I considered going with a $50 set, and might have for a stronger case, but this is the only one with the exact denomination I wanted. I wanted way more reds and didn't want any blue at all (seriously, who needs 5 colors that is way too much, we play mostly cash games, so simple tournaments. More reds and whites the better). ... show more

  • Great value
Style: 500 Piece Poker Set
Great set of chips. Good color, texture, and weight. The case is very durable and carries nicely. The cards are not the greatest but that is an easy fix.
