It has magnetic USB C adapters that go into the controllers & they magnetic latch on to the charger. Has slight magnetism when placing controllers on the charger to help you. Lights on the controller will pulse after you correctly connect them. Don't get sweaty and you shouldn't be shorting out and melting your connectors. People who complain about this dock probably have difficulty working a vacuum cleaner. The only improvement that they could have done was have the dock shape and controller shape more aggressive for inserting the controllers easier and maybe alter the connector so people would stop shorting the connector with sweat. ... show more

This PS VR2 charger port is very convenient. The pins make it all the worth,as just adjusting them to each controller without having to worry about exerting so much energy after hours of VR gaming and find all 127 ways to hurt your back while putting them on a charger ,is just way too much. After plugging the pins into the charger port ,then place them both on the port with ease. Might take you several times to get used to but very worth it ... show more

This works extremely well. It comes with a tiny USB-C plug that has a magnetic attachment on the end to allow the controllers to sit into the base. It makes charging a lot easier. But, I am very tempted to give this 3 starts just because I think this should really be included with the headset. Without this, you would need to have a USB hub and a pair of cables always plugged in to make charging easier. ... show more
