The kids and grandkids brought some ducks home. Ducks need water, and I had nothing suitable. The creek is an ephemeral, that stays dry most of the year, and the various tanks and kid's pools were simply not suitable. This 8 ft diameter pool works out just right. The ducks can fly in, and fly out. It's deep enough for them to dive for cracked corn and stuff. They're happy, I'm happy. I can't address durability after a couple short weeks, but it works well right now! Grandkids like the pool as well, but swimming with ducks is kinda nasty. Better than the hard plastic kiddie pools I normally get for the hottest times in Florida. I wanted something that didn't need to be blown up, either. This worked well enough to get through the season. The sides do need to be held up or propped up while filling, but the kids enjoyed helping.

I received this through the Amazon Vine Program. This pool is super cute. It definitely needs to be setup on cement slab or super flat ground. I used this pool in August and it was over 100° in Texas, let me tell you this, when this pool has been in Texas humidity and heat for hours that water in this pool will be smoking hot!     • The sides don't stay up

About this pool lol...SO I thought it was going to be one of those pole-type pools? It doesn't require any air to fill up, and it's not one of those hard plastic pools, which we were really excited about because my son LOVES swimming and constantly wants to be in the water and those kinds of pools are such a pain in the butt. So this pool came all folded up on itself and it's essentially just a big piece of plastic with slightly harder plastic around the sides. It's supposed to support itself and take shape when you fill it with water, but we never could get the sides to stand up. The bottom layer of plastic is pretty durable, but the sides are so flimsy. You'd have to fill it up all the way to the top to make the sides take shape, and even then, water is dumping out the whole time because it's just not able to support itself. I think this is a good concept -- like it's a good idea *in theory* but ultimately it just doesn't work. I was hoping this would be a magical pool solution thing but honestly I'd rather just deal with a traditional hard plastic pool, or a blow up pool when it comes to summer splashing. ... show more
