The most common use for a 9v is a home smoke detector. For that, these are perfect since they're cheap enough that changing them every six months doesn't feel as wasteful. They seem to last just as long. Yes, if I forget to change batteries at six months, I risk a visit of the Evil Beep Monster in the middle of the night, but that was true for the leading brands that are much more expensive. ... show more

I got the 9v pack - I'm a guitar player and I have a old echo pedal made in '92 that just drains the life out of name brand batteries.
