At first I was skeptical about the sizing of these— I couldn’t find any reviews from people who were the same weight and height range as me. I weigh 220 and am 5”6’, I normally wear an XL in bottoms and I took a chance and ordered an XL in these as well, even though some women who weigh less than me ordered a size larger than that. The XL fit me perfectly! Keep in mind, I like a little compression to my leggings, I don’t like them loose. So for me, an XL was perfect and an XXL would have been far too big for me. I got these leggings based off the reviews saying they didn't go sheer in squats. As a Barre instructor I need to have leggings that won't turn sheer when I plie, squat, bend, fold and otherwise move. This ones fit the bill perfectly. They don't dig in anywhere. There is a light compression but without making me feel crushed, with provides some light muscle support and looks flattering, too. The side pockets are deep and wide enough to easily fit a phone but without being so deep that you have to do a giant side bend to be able to reach anything at the bottom of the pocket. They've washed up well (no piling, discoloration, shrinkage, or threads coming loose) and are holding up well to my multiple times a week use. So, FYI, I did not get these as yoga pants, I wanted compression leggings for dance/ sparring. So these are a bit small if you are going for a yoga stretch (so size up), but they work GREAT if you are looking for compression (true to size). They are not sheer during bending and squatting, and so far they have survived almost like new for 4 washes. I am buying more. ... show more

These pants are very soft and thick, but not so much you overheat at the gym. They did not become sheer even during squats and I love the pocket for my keys and phone while at the gym. Definitely give these a try!
