getting older is no fun, currently moving things out out the basement for the trash or storage and back in the day I could just lift anything it seemed like hand hold or not. Now i am lucky to budge it. While these did not make it any lighter they gave me a good handhold. I had an old tube tv over 36 inches. No good grabs. It took three of us to move it down to the basement. My son and i moved it up the stairs quickly with no damage using these. Hello friends, I selected these percea moving straps for moving furniture around the house. The first time I ever saw straps like this with a moving truck crew I knew I had to buy a pair. I selected these ones for their poundage. They carry up to 800 lb which is awesome because a quick online search revealed that the average refrigerator is about 400 to 450 lb. That works for me. I'm torturing them by moving all the furniture in the house at will since it's easier to do. Getting help to move furniture can be difficult if the person doesn't feel confident with the weight or shape. These straps remove those strange factors that create hesitation. This set of moving straps works well to allow two people to lift furniture. The key, and I can't stress this enough, is to READ the directions first! You must have an idea of what you want to move, by way of the adjustments needed to the long straps that fit beneath the object, and you will want to adjust them to equal lengths first. The harness that fits around the mover is set, so all you need to do is ensure you criss-cross the straps and plan the lift and carry operation. It also offers lifting by just using the arms straps, but I found myself only capable of lifting smaller pieces of furniture. The one aspect this set does not have, which more expensive ones do, is that it does not fasten around your waist and act as a weight belt, which can help avoid hernias. If you are careful, however, and set the straps properly, it can work well. One other note, be careful to listen to your body in lower back and shoulders as you lift heavier items, and take it slow and watch for the item you are carrying not to tilt to one side or the other requiring a mid-lift adjustment. It does what it needs to do, just plan and with a few attempts you can get the process down pat. ... show more

I planned to use the PERCEA Moving Straps, Lifting Strap for 2 Movers to help my husband and I when we need to move furniture. I expect that these straps will be easy to setup and use, as well as effective when moving furniture in the house. This product has met all of my expectations, and the quality is great. These feel very sturdy and strong. I've been looking for a set of moving straps like this with the shoulder harnesses included. Very impressed with the quality for the price. There's some padding on the handles as well as the shoulder straps so picking anything up is easier as the padding will grab your arm rather than the moving strap. Having used straps like this before I know refrigerators can be far more easily transported onto a truck or into the house. If you have the choice between the arm straps only and a set like this with the shoulder harness I strongly advise purchasing this set. ... show more

These sets of harnesses (there are straps for 2 people) which allow you to lift/move items up to 800 lbs easily on the same floor or even up the stairs. You can just use the straps (placed like an X) or add in the shoulder straps for very heavy or awkward items. This keeps the center of gravity low while you are mostly upright. These actually made transporting large furniture a whole lot easier! I have an extremely heavy dresser and since we are getting older, my husband was not willing to even try to attempt to get it to our new place. After I gave him these he was willing and able to move it no problem.
