we mainly bought this for our curr from climbing the fence and it worked great. Tried it on our Rottweiler from chasing the cat and it worked great. Rotty did not like the beep so the vibration and sock have never been used on her. The Curr is wild and crazy so he has to be reminded. I like that the vibration and shock can be adjusted. the switch on the side to flip between collars is nice, but I have forgot and buzzed the wrong dog before. :( Other than that this is a perfect little set! we had to get a second set b/c the remote got left on the kennel and, let's just say it's not tough enough to withstand the chew of a curr... ... show more

I have two small dogs and these Collars are great for just about any size Dogs! Their range is out of this world and the Battery Life goes on for ever ! Always dependent! This is for two dogs on one remote control and both of mine have different settings. It’s easy to go between the 2 Dogs and the different colors are great ! I bought these for my two new pups, a now, 9 month old aussie mix and a 6 month old english bulldog mix so when they were actin' like fools and not focusing on what I was asking of them (stop chasing the cat! don't dig my plants!) I could give them a little buzz to get there attention. Now, when I say buzz, I mean the vibration mode. I do not believe in shock "training" so I never used it. Most of the time the audible beep was enough and if not, the vibration always did the trick. They worked extremely well until the remote stopped functioning properly. The toggle switch on the side basically stopped switching from one collar to the other so only one dog would ever receive the cues. Unfortunately this started after only 2.5 months. So in short, I would recommend something like this, just not sure it would be this particular product. (Also, please don't shock your pets. I assure you, with the correct training style, the vibration is plenty) ... show more

I have purchased at least 5 different brands over the past 12+ years & this is my absolute favorite. It is very easy to use the remote. My 2 dogs do not need the shock function & this unit can be used without the prongs for shocking which in my opinion makes it much more comfortable for my dogs. My 12 yr old border Collie is almost deaf & with this it's easy to get her attention. She can hear this sound because it's right by her ear. If she couldn't hear the sound then the vibration mode would get her attention. As soon as she hears this she comes back to me. My rat terrior loves chasing rabbits & when he gets on the trail can dissappear for an hour . With this he stops & comes back to me as soon as I activate the sound. He gets to run & play while outside wearing this & he is safe because he doesn't run through the hills where a variety of predators could get him. I trained both dogs on a leash when they were young with different units. I wouldn't use this or any other unit on any dog without training them on a leash first. My favorite feature is the ability to use this without the prongs & the very simple easy to use remote. So far I have been happy with the length of time every piece stays charged. This is my second set of these collars. The first set lasted a couple of years, continuously being utilized. This set I decided to use the little metal flange that come with the collars. You need to screw the posts in through the flange to the collar and tighten. I did this and at some point, the posts came loose and we actually lost them, not sure where, but that rendered the collars useless until I contacted their awesome customer service phone number, who mailed me out new posts for the collars! No out of pocket cost for the replacement parts and the rep told me there is a one year warranty on their collars! Highly. Recommend these collars, without them our dogs act out of control, and we RAREY if ever give them a jolt, we only alert them with sound only that the.collars are on and we get 100% compliance. These collars are really nice also because not only do you have the option to just alert with sound, you can go one step further and go to sound and vibration which doesn't hurt but let's the dog know you mean business and failing that, the last option is the jolt. I never "shock" our dogs just sound and vibration is all that's ever needed. These collars do work very well and we have pretty stubborn dogs (golden retrievers). Overall, I highly recommend them and the customer service is top notch! ... show more

Really disappointed they won’t charge and they don’t stay on very long and will start beeping and vibrating randomly, which confuses my dog. I bought this and it worked amazing but they no longer work.

This is a nice quality product ...the remote feels well made and smooth in your hand. The buttons are easily accessible and not complicated. The collar, once its adjusted for your dogs neck fits snuggly. Seems to get their attention (I don't have to use the shock but I did test it on a low setting and I can feel it :)). The only thing I don't like about these collars is how the receiver is held on to the collar. Its just a plastic piece that could easily break and if it does the collar is worthless. I would like to see something more substantial...maybe metal. I've been using this product for a couple of months with no issues so I hate to anticipate it will break but if it does...its trash. ... show more
