I bought this diary for my 9 year old's birthday. She loved the idea of a keyed diary, but I knew the key would be lost within a week. I went for this diary instead. It is adorable! It locks and unlocks well. The pages are lined and of descent thickness. The outside is a washable like material that you could wipe down with a wet wipe or napkin. She is still enjoying this diary and it's still holding up nearly 2 months later. ... show more

My daughter was so excited to own a diary with a lock. Poor girl... her excitement was very short lived. She was forced to change her password many times as her little brother would somehow manage to find the combination. :) So what would you expect from a little girl.... she forgot her password just 2 days after receiving the diary. Thereafter, I tried all possible ways to find out how to unlock the diary.. no avail. I tried the suggestion mentioned in the Q& A section. DIDN'T WORK.. I even contacted the seller asking for help. NO RESPONSE. So, there it is lying in a corner for past 4 months, unused. My daughter gets so upset whenever she looks at it and questions me every time if I heard back from the seller.. What beats me is.. Why is this diary made so badly.. that the solution for those who forget the password doesn't work. Come on.. its designed for kids!
