I wanted this for my semi truck to print documents with my iphone13 NO COMPUTER just my phone like my last LARGE All-In-One printer that I had to buy expensive color ink just for it to print black and white documents. It’s exactly what I was looking for it fits where my other printer wouldn’t. I had to keep my other one under the bed to keep it from getting torn up from all the rough roads thankfully I don’t need it often because it was a pain to get to and use BUT when I was at a job site and needed a document it was a life saver. Recently it needed ink it was going to be $140 for all new ink so I picked this up for $85 shipped with a 700 page starter toner and WOW it’s perfect for me. My truck has a large factory inverter I read another review that said a 300 watt wouldn’t power it which I’m surprised because I’ve had a lot of trucks and printers over the years and a 300 watt would power my HP sometimes it would slightly make the alarm beep but it worked. CONNECTION to iphone was seamless and simple!! go to wifi type in one time passcode and it’s connected! All I have to do now is turn on printer go to settings/wifi and it connects automatically!! Go to my document hit the forward button hit print and 20-30 seconds later it spits out the page so fast you wonder if there’s even anything on it (it spits it out upside down) but there it is all printed nice and dark looking good. NO COMPUTER NECESSARY that’s the one thing I had a hard time finding in the reviews out of be box NO INSTALL NO DISK REQUIRED connect right to my iphone and I’m in business. Toner is much cheaper than ink and don’t have to worry about the color ink I never use. 10/10 perfect little printer for my application and would be perfect in any automobile honestly. So after reading the good bad and ugly reviews I decided to take a chance on this laser printer. I’m sure most who are deciding to buy this printer the Wi-Fi function is a big factor into purchasing like it was for me so I’m gonna assure you it does work great and is pretty easy to connect as long as you follow the directions. First download the driver setup from the website, I appreciate that they included a cdrom but most likely the driver is outdated and you’ll end up back at the website. If you are not so technically inclined it might be a bit confusing why you have to connect the Wi-Fi a certain way but if you have knowledge of setting up routers you’ll be fine. The Printer Wi-Fi only works with 2.4gh so please find out if you have 6, 5, or 2.4 before you spend your money on this. 2.4 is pretty standard so it really shouldn’t even be a complaint from a lot of reviewers if they didn’t do there homework on this printer. Once it’s connected to your router you can print from any device connected to that router and it works flawlessly. I’ve tried from my phone, tablet, laptop and computer and it absolutely works. Now the prints are great looking aswell, no complaints on this lil printer at all.     • Serves the purpose!
This is a cute little printer if you're looking for a family/home use printer. After my old laser printer died, I wanted something small and simple. This one serves the purpose at this point. The print is a little light. It is kind of noisy when starting up and printing. It is compact, and the paper tray and part where the paper comes out fold in. They have to be opened for use, as well as needing to add paper to the tray. It was a challenge to set up because the new OS system on my MacBook Air wasn't reading the wireless code or responding as indicated in the set up instructions. Fortunately I had an old MacBook Pro that had a disc reader and just popped the disc in and it was good to go right away. Love the compact size, it is really easy to use.     • Prints very faintly and is slower than expected for a laser
I used an inkjet for years. Not my favorite, but at least the cartridges are affordable and you can print in color. I decided to "upgrade" to a laser. Couldn't afford a color one but I don't print in color all that much. The printer with a cartridge was around $100 and I ordered an extra cartridge for $60. Well, this printer is fairly easy to set up. Not fun, but it's not too complicated. Well, it printed really, really faint on my first few pages, so I took out the cartridge and shook it again. No change. So then I opened my other new cartridge and tried that one. Still faint. Not a nice, deep black like it should. I guess it's the printer because two cartridges can't be bad. So, that is a bummer. On top of that, every single time I print... and I mean every single time, I get an error message that says the printer is offline. Only, it is not offline. It eventually prints. Once it starts printing it's pretty fast. But it takes way too long to get the print job from the computer to the printer. Overall it is not a good printer but I have no idea if all laser printers in this price range are this faint and slow so I guess I'll keep it :( UPDATE: One of the worst printers I have ever owned. I have to shake the cartridge EVERY TIME before I print. Am so upset because Amazon messed me up by sending a replacement printer to 'exchange' and that one didn't work any better. Now it is too late for me to return the original one. I am stuck with this POS. ... show more
