To give you context, I found this package of toys while looking for starter toys for for my then 7 wk old blue heeler pup. (he is 8 wks now). Heelers are australian cattle dogs and as such are HUGE nippers and chewers so, I knew I needed to find extremely durable toys that could stand up to his abuse. Add to the mix that he is teething so I wanted something that he could sink his teeth into and a variety that would allow him to find the best feel on his hurting gums. What I expected - a cheap looking and feeling set of ropes that have various knots that would either be extremely loosely woven/floppy or that hard type that can barely bend. I figured at worst, it would make due until I could narrow down what he responds best to. What I Got - WOW I can not express enough how great these are and how happy I am that I took the risk. o1 - COMMUNICATION ***** - The company sent an email to confirm the purchase and to give their info to contact them if there are any issues or concerns. I am big with clear and reliable communication so this was a bonus. o2 - Timeliness ***** - I ordered it early on 23 Aug. and recieved it in the evening on 24 Aug. To be honest, I think it would have gotten to me by early afternoon except I live on the edge of a smaller town and my delivery guys deliberately save our area for last in the day. (I've been told it is so that they can get us all in one trip.) The 23rd was also a Sunday so the fact they got the order out so quickly stands out. o3 - Packaging **** - The toys are in a plastic package as the images show. I liked this because it meant that stuff didn't just fall out when I opened the amazon packaging and I liked the extra layer so dirt, dust, etc. didn't get on the toys. The toys also appear to be very clean and are obviously new/fresh ropes. My only pause was that there is a pack of silica in the bag and that junk has always made me nervous. o4 - Product ***** - What you see in the images is exactly what you get visually but they do not do justice to the quality of the toys. The colors are bright and vibrant. (Not a big deal to me but is a nice touch.) The rope is new, clean, and strong. They feel sturdy and like they can take a beating. Some of the toys are pretty stiff but that is because they are tightly woven but they have just the right amount of strecht to them. The ropes also have just enough give to be fantastic for teething. The set has everything from an extremely tightly woven rod (about 2 in. thick and about the length of my hand.) (my pup is a bit obsessed with knawing on it while it twist the ridges across his gums.) to a simple strip of rope with frayed ends and a few tight knots along the length. None of them are duplicates and all of them have diffent features that make them good options for various uses. A couple even have loops on one end that make them spectacular for tug-o-war. The giraffe and carrot nice bonuses to the mix and the tight weaving makes them great for knawing like the rod but since they are thinner, they are a little easier for tiny puppy mouths. The ball is awesome! I also have zero concerns of any of these being able to hold their shapes. I'm not sure how long the material for the frisbee will hold up. It seems of but I can see it tearing with too much chewing. But the rope of the frisbee will probably last a long time regardless. To give you a better idea of the feel/weaving, think of the cheaper bungycord bracelets. Its not bungy cords but almost has the same feel. the weaving is the same concept, they have the same sturdy feeling, and the toys have the same (if not a little better) amount of give/stretch to them. I could not be happier with this purchase and am excited that they are good enough that it will be a while before I need to worry about getting different toys for him. ... show more

I've ordered so many toys and none have lasted. These are absolutely the BEST TOYS! They clean teeth. My dog is 100 lbs and loves to play fetch. They are the perfect weight to throw. He loves them all. No stuffing to worry about choking him. I recommend these!

*Based on the following email from Pacific Pup Rescue, I deleted my negative ★ review and replaced it ★★★★★ along with the following reply.* EMAIL FROM PACIFIC PUP RESCUE: "We are a small rescue and I do almost all of the work myself, so I spend a lot of time driving to shelters and don't stay on top of my emails as well as I would like. Your original email got buried in other emails. I hope to get some help soon, so hopefully this wont happen to another customer email. "In regard to the toys causing [your] dogs to cough, I am sorry that happened! We sell hundreds of these and are literally the only seller on Amazon of these toys who pays for the expensive lab testing for toxicity so I am very surprised to hear this. I cant help but wonder if the toys were packed in a [bag] that was somehow tainted. We have never had anyone claim the toys made their dog cough before. For them to make all of your dogs cough makes me wonder if something happened to your ropes at the warehouse or during shipping. It is terrible and I am glad you took them away. "I have asked the lab to retest the toys. We are devoted to rescuing dogs and the idea that something could make them sick is very disturbing. "I would be happy to refund your money and send you a replacement after they have been retested. Something is wrong in society when an athlete garners oversize jewelry and what is more than a lifetime salary for most of us, while an animal rescue must beg, borrow, and steal in order to survive. After I learned that a Collie puppy 1100 miles away was staked in a back yard 24/7 where the owner abused him, and kids on bikes road in circles around him and threw stones at him – I cut his chain at 3:30AM and smuggled him through an Underground Collie Railroad to emergency vet care.) He's now one of my Collies. Has some problems, but not the same problems. Who wouldn't after experiencing 12 months of torture, abuse, and neglect? Our fox terrier adores these rope toys for tug of war and for chewing. We're rationing them, so they will last a good long time. The caveat is the blue circle toy. We had to remove the fabric cover because she was shredding it -- and it feels like some kind of nylon. I could be wrong. The rope itself is glued into a circle with an extremely strong adhesive, then covered with a plastic guard. She started picking at that, so it's gone in the trash. The last thing we want is to take her in for emergency surgery for a blockage. ... show more
