  • Plug n play !!!
Size: 5.8G 1KM-3KM
Pretty much just put the two in the modes they need to be in and they work.... You will need a "point of access", "Router" unless you go directly to a device. Point to point works great !!! Really easy. The hard part is the "Router"... That's just a matter of knowing what password they are looking for to connect. So even that no biggie. ... show more

  • Good budget bridge
Size: 2.4G 500M-1KM
I plugged everything in and it just worked. The documentation is a little inconsistent and not the clearest. Just switch one unit to M, the other to S. UPDATE: I had previously suggested replacing the PoE injectors with gigabit ones to get higher speeds - the bridge units themselves advertise up to 300Mbps. I replaced them for unrelated reasons, and my switch still reports only a 100Mbps link. So that effectively caps the bridge’s bandwidth. Not a problem for me and everything works great up to that capacity, but if you want more speed you’ll have to pay for it. ... show more

  • Worked like a charm first try.
Size: 2.4G 500M-1KM
Used this system to make a homemade long range target camera system. Plugged them in and they were working in seconds. Have tested it to 200m so far without any issue. Just make sure they are aimed pretty well without obstruction.

Works exactly as described and set up was a breeze. I can’t believe the distance at which this can operate at. Would highly recommend!

  • Tricky to get working
Size: 2.4G 500M-1KM
I struggle a bit on how to rate these, since at the end of the day they DO WORK - they do what is promised. But it's been a long time since I have struggled to get a piece of electronics to work as much as I did with these. For a basic Ethernet link, it's not actually that tricky. Set one in M mode, one in S mode. Put them on the same channel and plug in Ethernet on both sides, and as long as you line them up well it works. The biggest struggle is with Wifi on the remote bridge. Here's what I learned: 1. Binardat has a barely functioning website that doesn't render properly in Chrome or Safari. There are no firmware files to be found on the website anyway. I couldn't find a firmware update for these things on the internet anywhere. 2. The "Wireless Bridge" section that allows you to set a wireless SSID appears to reset itself whenever you change channels on the devices, or cycle their power - it doesn't seem to save. 3. There is no setting to change the SSID of the bridge to broadcast - it's hidden. It does work, but you have to configure your wireless device manually to connect to it - like type in the SSID and password. So, yeah - my advice if you need the wireless bridge aspect (meaning it allows a wireless connection out on the remote device) is to use the default wireless settings (since changes won't save anyway) and remember the SSID isn't broadcast. I love that they are POE powered - meaning you don't need to run power AND ethernet to the device - only one cable. As other reviews have mentioned, they are very lightweight - 5.5 ounces of plastic (not counting the power adapter or ethernet cables) each. While they may be ready for the outdoors, they don't feel like the type of thing that is going to survive a harsh winter, but we'll find out. :) Overall, 3 stars - they do what they promised, but configuration is tricky and customer support through the Binardat website is nonexistent. ... show more
