  • Usable as USB 2.0 expansion only
Size: 10Gbps/4 IN 1 with 3.3ft Cable Color: Grey
Bought this because it's one of the few USB hubs on the market that claims to offer 10 gbps USB 3 gen2 connectivity. The adapter looks good and feels weighty. The USB slots are spaced widely enough that even with thick USB plugs there shouldn't be any interference issues. Now onto the not so great parts: The USB cable that ships with the hub to connect it to your computer is only about 3 feet long. If you are planning to use this hub like me - which is to bring some USB 3 gen2 ports up onto your desk from down on the back of a tower PC - the cord may not be long enough to position the hub where you really want it. I had to plug all my 3rd gen USB flash drives into a different USB port on my PC first before they would work through this ORICO hub (I am using Windows 10). After first connecting the hub, I plugged in a Sandisk USB 3.0 flash drive. The drive kept power cycling and the drive would not appear in Windows Explorer. Pulled that one out and plugged a different Sandisk USB 3.0 flash drive into the hub. That one seemed to stay powered on, but attempting to open Windows Explorer caused Windows Explorer to become unresponsive. The first time it happened it caused such an error somewhere that my graphics driver actually crashed and I had to do a hard reboot with the PC's power button. Discovered that if I plugged the drives into a non-hub USB port directly on my motherboard first, THEN I could plug them into the ORICO hub and they are now working. But this is completely bizarre......I have never encountered a situation where I had to do this before. My motherboard's gen 2 USB3 ports are controlled through the X570 chipset and I just updated the chipset drivers last month, so I think a USB driver issue on the PC is unlikely. Update: My USB 3 flash drives again are not working when plugged into this hub. The only devices that work reliably are USB 2.0 flash drives and things like receivers for wireless mice/keyboards. Really disappointing....I might return this. A USB 2.0 hub can be had for much less money than this. Update 2: Finally figured out how to get this working properly. I had to disable legacy USB support mode in my motherboard's BIOS. USB 3 devices are now working when connected to the hub. ... show more

  • Seller made good on device that had issues
Size: 10Gbps/4 IN 1 with 3.3ft Cable Color: Grey
4/2023 update: After going back and forth many times, seller refunded my purchase. I bought this usb hub for two reasons: To use with a Razer USB wireless headset that would crap out in an unpowered USB hub and to transfer large files at high speeds to a USB hard drive dock. I tried the USB headset device and got the same problems I did with a cheaper unpowered hub - connection "fuzzed out" and then quit during meetings. A couple times it crashed my laptop. Switched back to regular USB port on the laptop without the hub and it worked fine. When I went to transfer files over it, the transfer speed was horrendous - it would take hours and hours to transfer 5 gb or so in one file. Again, when I plugged the hard drive USB dock back into a regular USB 3.0 port, it worked fine. I give it two stars because it still does work as a regular USB hub. But that's not why I spent all that money on it in the first place. ... show more

  • An Initial Issue - But ORICO Fixed It!
Size: 10Gbps/4 IN 1 with 3.3ft Cable Color: Grey
UPDATE 12/29 - I have received the replacement. Upon testing, I found this one to work as advertised. My Samsung T7 Shield tested at 915MB/s Read, 818MB/s write. This is about 10% lower on write, compared to going straight into the laptop. But this is to be expected. Read speeds only dropped maybe 4%. I recommend this product. Big thumbs up to ORICO for their speedy attention to the matter! UPDATE 12/20 - I have been offered a free replacement unit. For the customer service I certainly give 5 stars as they reached out shortly after my review posted. I will follow up again when the replacement unit is received and has been tested. Initial Review - Was quite excited to receive this, as it is one of few or only hubs that support 10gbps (USB Gen 2). I excitedly hooked it up and did a speed test with my Samsung T7 Shield attached, which normally tests out at over 900MB/s read and 850MB/s write. Connected to this device, the read speeds were the same, but write speeds dropped down to 500MB/s at best. Disappointed. ... show more

  • Exactly what I expected.
Size: 10Gbps/4 IN 1 with 3.3ft Cable Color: Grey
I love the angel and material and weight of it. Works exactly as I expected. I only with I could have found a version of it with 2x the amount of slots or even a few more slots. One thing to note is if they put the power and usb inputs on the back instead of the sides it would be much cleaner for cable managment. ... show more

  • Data works great, but not for fast phone charging
Size: 10Gbps/4 IN 1 with 3.3ft Cable Color: Grey
This is a nice looking unit, well constructed and sturdy and works great for very fast Data Speeds. However, for me I really need it to also fast charge my phones and tablets which this does not do. It is very slow at charging devices. When I went back and looked at the seller description, they clearly do call attention to it, but somehow I missed reading that prior to purchase. As such I just returned these today and replaced with another USB 3.2 HUB that is confirmed to offer higher voltage and amps for fast charging as well as fast Data. ... show more

  • Good product, but doesn't work for rear PS5 ports, for anyone trying the same thing.
Size: 10Gbps/4 IN 1 with 3.3ft Cable Color: Grey
Worked fine for computer. Good build. Nice cable. I bought because I thought this would work for the back ps5 ports, since I hate having usb cords coming out of the front of the system, and since it was usb 3.1 and also it has the 10gbps speed (which both the psvr camera, psvr unit, and the hard drive need) i thought it would work but it does not work. They have to be plugged into separate USB ports. I did not try to use it in the front ones cause that would be pointless for what I'm trying to achieve. When you do plug the hard drive and the psvr unit together it will not read the hard drive. When you plug the camera to it and the psvr. Same thing happens, it can't use the camera. The hub itself does everything it says, which is why I won't rate it low and they said nothing about it working for the ps5, so that's all on me. But leaving this review for others who might be trying the same thing. ... show more
