i would argue that if i could give a 4.5 i would. but realistically between people being way to ridiculous with reviews... the fact that it is a 4.5 overall review doesnt bother me that i am giving this a full 5 stars. I think the issue that keeps this thing from being perfect... lack of instructions and how the user experience with just a bland box no instructions and the product didnt have any kind of seal that lets it seem like its brand new. it feels like it was unpackaged then put into cheaper packing and sent to me. Thats a petty thing to nock it down a whole star.... BECUASE THIS THING IS AWESOME!. i wish i knew about this technology years ago. there are a lot of things i can do with this and i am now seeing how every work function can have less expensive custmized products for give aways. plus i can use this to make things for family for the holidays. Then the fact that i can actually sale products i make off of this and they dont feel cheap. this things is perfect.

I just got this today, Can't say I know everything about it but will say that I love it. It was package very neatly and speaking with customer support was really what I hoped it would be. They sent this so quickly. Great company to order from and will order from them again! It looks nice and I can only hope from what I have seen so far that it will continue work just as sweet as it does now. Im also adding how freaking blown away I am how awesome their customer support is. There is very little company's out there that offer live customer support like Omtech and on top of that, the quality of support far surpasses anything Ive come to experience before. Customer support is such a big plus for me, so much so that I refused to purchase a 3d printer simply because customer support was only available through email which is the biggest mistake ever for any company.

It is nice and easy to set up. All settings came with USB drive which will help a lot to setup correct parameters for the laser program. The only problem is the positioning bars which are plastic and if you gonna use the machine too often they will melt down in a month or two. Customer service is good

The machine is extremely inconsistent and, in my case, often unusable. The material test card shows massive variability in power and engraving results, which shouldn’t happen with a properly functioning laser. I spent hours on the phone with support, who sent over videos (in Chinese, which didn’t help much) showing how to take parts of the machine apart and realign the laser using a piece of paper - literally sticking my hand up into the laser path and firing it. That’s a hard pass from a safety standpoint. Another major issue: although the included lens is 150 mm (about 5.9"), you only get about 2" of usable diameter from the center before focus and power drop off dramatically. That is not typical for machines with this lens type and makes the working area far more limited than advertised. My final call with support was even more concerning. When I asked for help adjusting the machine’s settings, tech support told me, “It’s pretty in depth and I don’t feel comfortable myself walking you through it.” If the manufacturer’s own support staff aren’t comfortable guiding customers through their recommended fixes, what is the end user supposed to do? Ultimately, the unit is going back. Time to buy a better-quality machine from a more reliable brand.

Pros: This laser engraver is fast and has plenty of power. No fancy bells and whistles like autofocus or a motorized head height, but it does have the essentials. Works fine with Lightburn. The unit is sturdy and all in one piece, so it is easy to relocate. Cons: When the unit first arrived, we could get the red laser to slew as expected, but the fiber laser would never engage. I opened the case and discovered that the flat control cable from the mainboard to the fiber laser source had come loose. I simply plugged it back in to the connector and all was well. The cooling fans are noisy!
