We have them installed in the ceiling of our front porch. They are bright enough to illuminate the front porch dimly. It's exactly what we wanted. We have to turn them on and off - no automatic mode. But the remote is radio, so we can control the lights from inside the house.

I bought one of these back in 2021. It was the 50 foot version. Was great. It finally stopped working. So since it was past the warranty time, I just went to my past orders and clicked the "Order again' button. When I took the new one out of the box I I started hanging it up. To my surprise it was shorter than the old one. What was sent was one that was 32 foot long. Apparently they don't make the 50 foot string any more. I ended putting it somewhere else. That night turned it on and noticed the lights didn't have as much color as the old set. There are fewer let's in the bulb in the newer set. I will take the bulbs out of the old one and place in the new string. Now on to the search for a 50 foot set. ... show more

Finally got to put these up in our patio. Didn't really measure it, but it seems a little longer than the 30 feet I ordered. It's very lightweight and seems cheap. Some of the bulbs do their own thing as far as the color of the light. I changed the bulbs with the extra ones it comes with, but still the same. It's probably the socket. Also, one of the sockets stopped working. It doesn't work with any of the bulbs. This is after a couple of weeks. I'm not sure if I would buy these again, like I said, they seem cheaply made.
