This was a pretty good lipstick! The price is so affordable, which is one of the reasons that I am a fan of Nyx. The formula is pretty nice. Unlike they're liquid lipsticks, this formula isn't too drying. As with any matte lip color, it will create a drying effect on your lips, but it was not as bad as I was expecting. I could go through my day without feeling like I had to constantly reapply Chapstick and the formula doesn't immediately create that cracking, clumping effect. There was only a slight cracking after a couple hours, but I feel like that's not really avoidable and it was barely noticeable. Surprisingly, my lips still felt soft when I touched them and it stayed on pretty well! If you want to avoid too much clumping, I suggest cleaning your lips entirely, then reapplying the color after a few hours. As for the color, it is so cute! I advise people to pay attention to the description. As the description says, it is a pinkish/mauve color. However, the picture kind of makes it look more like a brown-toned "nude", which I'm totally fine with. I actually bought it because I was looking for a cute nude color anyway. When applied initially, the color does resemble a pink/light brown, but as it dries throughout the day, it fades to that "nudish" pink with a hint of mauve. It is both subtle yet striking, casual yet a statement lipstick. In a certain light, it does kind of wash me out a little bit, but paired with a darker eye look it evens out the coloring of my face. I ordered two different colors: “Whipped Caviar” and “Alabama”. I’m not a fan of Alabama-it just looks too dark for my coloring. I feel it’s much darker than the image suggests online which is why you should probably look up swatches or try them in a store if you don’t want to throw money down the drain. For me it doesn’t matter as the price is so low that trying them out and failing on one isn’t a biggie. So cue in the Whipped Cavier and I’m in love. I have dark hair with a reddish tint to it and that reddish tint makes darker colors sometimes look too unnatural and unattractive. This color really looks somewhat natural and makes my lips look nice and plump and gives them a very healthy look. The color is lighter but not so light that you’re veering into a pink color. It’s just a really pretty dark salmon color. I even mixed a tiny bit of it with the Alabama color and darkened it for nights-but wear the Whipped Cavier for days. It looks lovely. Overall it’s a very good price (much better than in the store!) and it goes on smoothly and looks lovely. It is a bit drying for the matte colors so you may want to use some lip gloss. ... show more

Up The Bass (Gray Purple) is NOT gray purple. It has red in it. I am disappointed with the labeling and will not purchase it again.

This lipstick is not the same as the one purchased at Target. This one is very dark, smells and has a bad taste to it. It smells and tastes like it is spoiled. I put it on and immediately took it off because of the taste and bad smell.
