Works great for oat milk. I wanted to avoid the packaging waste of store bought milk, and not have to worry about running out. Here's how I use it: Add to a blender about a cup of rolled oats (not instant), a tiny amount of vegetable oil, and enough ice-cold water to fill to the max mark (6 cup). Run on Blend for 30 seconds. Pour the contents of the blender into the nut bag set over a mesh strainer (no squeezing). It can take a while to strain through, so I'll usually throw it into the fridge at this point. When it's done, pour it into a couple of mason jars. For now, the oats go into my green waste, but some time in the future I'll try other ways use them. Unlike with standard cheese cloth, there is no need to strain the oat milk a second time. The finished texture is really nice, the fine strain of this bag creates a nice bit of froth. Like other reviewers, I've found the bag easy to wash by hand. I use dish soap and rinse it well with very hot water, making sure it has a chance to dry out completely. I'm totally happy with this. Will buy it again when I need more, but I expect it will last a long time. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought it to make oat milk at home at it does the job but still leaves some residue behind. I would have to strain it multiple times but it you don’t mind it I guess you could give it a try.

Oat milk recipe: 1 liter of water 2 cups oats 2 tbsp maple syrup 2 tbsp avocado or coconut oil (optional, but needed for frothing) Pinch of salt Put all into blender and blend 30 seconds. Remove and pour into bag inside bowl to strain out. Pour into Mason jar and store in fridge up to a week. Shake well before use. These bags are a little small so I half the recipe and do it twice, but you probably don't have to. I squeeze them real hard and the seam is strong. Very high quality. I would be so surprised if they didn't last several years! ... show more
