I purchased the $129 board with no speakers, just wanting to learn how to start mixing tracks for fun. It's a purchase I've been sitting on for over a year now and I'm so glad I chose this board to use as my first one. It's very beginner friendly with a full downloadable program, instruction manual, and thousands of YouTube videos to teach me how to use the more complicated features. I like that I can just play the music from my laptop speakers and not have to buy anything fancy. DJing is not something you can just pick up doing, but I feel like I'm already doing such a great job. There are a few additional purchases I've had to make for this that maybe other beginners won't think about. For example: -A USB to USBC converter for my Mac. It cost me about $30 with tax and I just grabbed it at the grocery store. -The SoundCloud+ subscription. If you're already an Apply Music user, you should have thousands of songs to choose from. However, I prefer Spotify as my personal streaming platform, so I tried the SoundCloud+ subscription knowing I could find a much bigger space of mixes on there. It's $10 a month additionally though so I don't know if I'll keep that for long or make the switch to Apple. No problems with this baby so far tho!!! Love it :) ... show more

I bought this to play around with as a hobby. Quickly realize l really enjoy djing. Great for starting out. Just purchased a pioneer DJ DD 200 and it is a night day difference in the feel and the quality of the controller.

What can I say, this is a great novice mixer. In college I was a Technics MK1200 and Numark guy. That was a super long time ago. Having experience with Numark products it was a natural choice when I wanted to get back into mixing AND teaching my 10 year-old how to spin the virtual wheels of steel. This console hasn't disappointed. BUT oh I wish I had researched all of the software that claims to be compatible. Here is the short story: not all software is compatible with the computer operating systems listed. Saying the software works with MacOS or Windows 10/11 is slightly misleading. The software may be generally compatible with an OS but not specifically compatible with that OS on a particular computer device. The sound card may not be supported, or you may need more RAM, or in some cases the chipset isn't supported. This was a WTF moment for me. I tried every software platform that is claimed to be compatible with this mixer and found hiccup and glitch time and again. I advise knowing the software's system requirements before buying any mixer. Then once you know your device will work with the software shop for a board. I'm very happy with this mixer. But I'm not happy that to get the full experience of the available software I had to buy another computer. That was my solution. There are other solutions. I personally like an excuse to get a new computer. But not everyone wants to make that kind of investment for a starter mix board and a basement hobby. ... show more

This piece of garbage will not connect to any computer or lap I plug it into. The power adapter barely works and takes some wiggling to get to work.

Decided to take the plunge into DJing and got this while I was waiting on my backordered FLX 4 to arrive. At first it seemed fine and maybe that would still be my opinion had this been the only controlled I'd used. To say it is the worst is probably an exaggeration and for the price it's okay. It lacks many features commonly found on other cheap decks but has enough to pass. I like that it was fairly easy to pick it up and figure out what I was doing. It is small and light which makes it very portable and works well for simple mixing. Anything beyond the very basics however and the flaws become instantly glaring and impassable. My biggest gripes are: -The loop function is very restrictive -FX is pad only and difficult to manipulate and control -Missing control for mid frequencies (this was the biggest issue I didn't know I was missing until I had it) If you're looking for something just to play some music at a house party or something this will probably work for you. If you're looking to learn and grow this will not give you long enough before feeling dissatisfied and wanting better to justify the money saved. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have had this dj controller for few months now. I am impressed with the scratch wheels. Nice feel, very responsive. It has party lights that you turn on or off. It has all the essentials to dj mix from samples, to hot cues, looper up to 8 measures, a low pass to low pass knobs, treble and bass knobs, mix levels and main level plus individual headphone buttons to listen to one side or both to help sync tracks.
