This hot dog steamer is so much fun and super easy to use. Guaranteed your guests and/or kids will love it. Who doesn't love a good steamed hot dog loaded with coney sauce, mustard, and onion? OK some boring people only want ketchup and/or mustard on their dog but they'll still love the flavor. The nostalgia effect is a winner on it's own but the hot dogs are great. I purchased this for my Super Bowl party and it performed great! I assembled and had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. I used water as my steam liquid. I steamed one dozen dogs and buns to perfection in less than 15 minutes. I added the buns to the top drawer during the final 5 minutes. I believe that is the key to getting a good finished product (anything beyond 10 minutes in the bun warmer is cause for over soaked buns). At the 15 minute mark, I set the unit to WARM and let the crowd self serve themselves. It was a hit at the party. (HINT: When opening the bun warmer lid, move lid away from buns quickly to avoid condensation dripping from lid onto buns causing them to soak) Cleanup is a breeze, just soak the plastic drawers and lid in plastic soapy water and rinse. The heating unit (base) just wipes off with a warm soapy cloth and dry off (do not submerge base). The unit powers via your standard household plug, and the cord wraps up neatly underneath the base for cord storage. At $29.99 this unit executed perfectly. The only negatives is that the unit feels like a toy. The grade of plastic feels very cheap. A higher grade of plastic or even aluminum would have been ideal, but for the price point I understand. Be wary of the plastic handles on the side. They don't really lift anything, and I can see them breaking easily in the future. VERDICT: This is a great hot dog/bun steamer that looks great while doing its job. If used correctly, and stored with care (mine will sit in box when not in use), this unit will make hot dog night fun and tailgating a breeze. I would gladly recommend this to a friend. ... show more

This is my review of Nostalgia hds248coke Coca-Cola Hot Dog Steamer today I have tested my acquisition, I am really happy with it, starting with the packaging, a very striking box and collector's personalization, the machine comes well protected and ordered, disarmed and then tested, this time prepare 16 sausages which size is small and fit perfectly with the perception that they can fit more than 24, which indicates the instructional, the bread is of regular size but they did not fit 12 but 8 so I have no problem, once the water container is filled I included a little spice in it and I perfectly flavored the sausage, then I armed my machine and put it in the strongest temperature and Nostalgia promises in 20 minutes they were ready and the bread very fluffy, all with a lot of steam, then I put the sleep mode and kept me warm for quite a while all the products without damaging their quality. I highly recommend this device, it works excellent and I already understand your demand to buy it, for its price it is worth it and has a presence that makes you want only to collect it and not to use it. I purchased thos for my grandsons birthday party but due to Covid 19 it was hoing to show up too late. To my wonderful suprose ot actually showed up within 3 days of my ordering it. Thank you Amazon. The Dodger dogs came out great. I did take some of the other reviewers advice and wait until the dogs were 5 mins. out from being done before putting the buns in and also covered the top with a paper towel to catch up the built up condensation. They all turned out great. The machine was a hit! It was also very easy to clean. Less than 5 mins. to wash and dry and put it all up. The water level indicator was a little bit hard for me to see at first, but thats only because I didn't put enough water in it to begin with. Overall this was a great purchase and my teen kids loved the hot dogs so much its earned a permanent spot on my countertop. ... show more

I was expecting something a bit bigger, but i am still VERY very pleased. I don't think it will fit 24 hotdogs, coz i tried to stack the lil hotdogs and it the ones on top got scraped when trying to open. Love the bun warmer, use it on the warm mode so they don't turn up soggy. Construction feels flimsy coz it's made of plastic, but i actually call it a positive coz it's very light and easy to carry. And of course the look, just awesome! Kids love it, even adults were wowed by it. And cooked my beef franks to perfection! One last note, to be able to hide the wiring on the bottom is the brightest idea ever. I wish they did that with my snow cone machine... Time to get my popcorn maker next :) ... show more

This thing far exceeded expectations! I bought this as a Father’s Day gift…but then feared my husband would be insulted since Father’s Day gifts are usually BBQ inspired and this device is pretty much anti BBQ! So I bought something else and broke this thing out last weekend for swimming pool time with out neighbors. My husband loved it. The neighbors loved it. I loved it. No more BBQ dog on a plate that just sit around waiting to be eaten. Dogs were hot, SOOOO juicy, and ready to go whenever someone felt like one. It was delightful and so cute to look at too. My only note would be on the amount of dogs it holds. It would likely hold 24 dogs if you buy the cheap small ones. But we buy high quality from the butcher so it only holds about 8-9 dogs if they’re a larger size. ... show more
