storage ottomans can be super expensive and hard to move, this one is neither! it folds up flat for easy transport but is sturdy when it is unfolded; i've stood on it to hang stuff on my wall and sat on it many times with no issues. very cushy if you want to sit on it but i mainly used it for storage and as a step up for my lofted dorm bed. it has a decent amount of storage, i store all my hats and bathing suits inside but it could fit like 4-5 bulky folded sweatshirts to give you some perspective. i've had it for a year and it's still in great condition. this is perfect for dorms when you want to hide ~things you're not supposed to have~ (candles, certain beverages) since most universities cannot search through furniture that is not the dorm's property. 100/10 recommend for college kids!! must have for living in the dorms! ... show more

I mean, it’s pretty much exactly what you would expect from something at this price. I can’t complain about it. You just unfold it, place a piece down inside of it to hold the form and then put the lid on. It’s lightweight. It’s not wooden, so it’s relatively flimsy feeling, but as long as you only use it for what it’s intended for (holding some small items and resting your feet) you should be fine. It’s still more than sturdy enough to hold your feet if you’re sitting in a chair. I have a feeling the people who are breaking this are trying to stand or sit on it. This is not a heavy duty ottoman. It’s less than $20. The negative reviews are from the type of people who expect greatness from something, just because they spent their money on it. If you spend $100 on something, then yeah, expect higher quality, but this honestly is great for the price. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is just because something cheaper like this doesn’t have anything that makes it 5 stars. That’s no fault of the brand or the item. That’s what they were targeting here. Cheaper things like this are just 4 stars. That’s the max that they’re really worth. I have no problem recommending this. Literally a box. Kind of a stiff cardboard like substance on the inside of the pleather sides. Comes flat and you open it up and put the bottom flap down to make it a stiff box (Like a bankers box). Overall it does what I wanted. I wanted a little foot stool at my desk so I could put my feet up when I worked. Overall it is a cheap thing that will not last a long time, but it does the trick. Looks good, the color and leather covering look very good and the unit seems sturdy for it's size and construction. Would just mention that it is actually quite small however. The dimensions listed were 12" X 12", but it is really more like a 11.25 - 11.5 inch cube.

I'm SO disappointed. I was expecting the box to be 12" x 12", but its not. The size of the box is 11"x 11". I needed every possible inch for my grandkids to store stuff. Not only does the size matter but the overall box is weak. I've added more comments after each of the following "description" statements. The description states "can afford 100kg/220lbs". Not on your life. It went sideways when a 98 lb friend used it as a step-stool. The description also states "Generous Storage: store magazines, books, pillows, throws, TV remotes, kid toys, dog toys blankets and so on, de-clutter your living room or bedroom"... nope, I don't think so. The pillows and throws they refer to must be for Barbie doll stuff. I have had Amazon Prime membership for years but the new 1-day delivery is a joke. More often than not the items show up days later than the 1-day expected delivery.
