    • Plenty of amps to power all my toys.
I added a ridiculously large winch to my 2000 S10 Blazer. The winch draws obscene amps when under even the most moderate of loads which the factory alternator and battery were never intended to support. This alternator coupled with a 1100 CCA battery power not only my winch when needed but all the other electrical add ons I’ve crammed in it. If upgrading from a stock alternator as I did, be sure to also upgrade the charging cables to your battery and alternator as well as the grounds. I did what is commonly referred to as a “Big 3” upgrade with custom made super thick 00 welding cable. None of what I did was too extremely difficult if you’ve got some basic mechanical skills, creativity and persistence. I’ve only had it installed for about 2 months now so I can’t really speak to how long it will last. What I can say is I’ve put it through some very strenuous workouts pulling everything from large logs to a F350 Super duty stuck to its axles in thick wet mud and it’s done it’s job superbly. I have to think that if it were going to fail or be short lived, I’ve done all I could to cause it to. I’m very please with the performance and value from this alternator. There are others on the market probably built a little more robustly but they also cost about a third to one half more. I would recommend it! ... show more

Alternator is definitely brand new. Apprehension set in though as the higher output alternator was a little larger than the high amp OEM GM alternator (98 Silverado). The new alternator bolted right in. I had to bump the idle of the truck up just a bit, probably less than 100 more rpm. At 600 RPM the new alternator was pushing 14volts out (per the cluster gauge). This kept the retrofitted 2 electric fans running at the required speed, radio amp, headlights etc perfectly bright. The older alternator could't push the volts out at idle. Hoping over time this new alternator holds up, but the workmanship and design appears to be spot on. Recommended and would purchase from them again. The price was right too. ... show more

Update the 2nd one has 15k miles on it still works but internals are squealing terrible sad they only offer 1 year warranty these are made with very cheap internals to fail on a stock daily driver with no upgrades . Waiting for customers service It works great fit great Charges as it should But has a wine noise not sure if that will go away Hopefully they get back to me sort it out but the quality looks great nice part besides the slight wine at idle amd mid take off ... show more

Works on a 2008 Chevy Express 1500 LMF4 5.3L V8. Replaced a stock 105A type. 4 ft. of 4/0 via 1/4" copper lug to starter batt, averages at 14.5 V DC. 6K930 belt upgrade (1/2 longer than stock length). Only complains are stainless steel M6 coupler nut, one inch length with 12mm diameter, and 4 pin connector is right up against the intake manifold requiring it to be connected prior to install. Wish they had a beefier coupling nut that was flush mount on BOTH ends. Also, if they had an option for the 4-pin socket to come mounted on the opposite side to better suit vans. Was good for the price at the time but it failed after 9 months of use, I was unhappy about this but they kept up to there word with the 1 yr warranty I reached out to them they are in process of sending me another one right now so 5 stars for good customer service and the ease of reaching out and getting ahold of someone as for the product goes like I said mine failed after 9 months so we will see if it was just a defect in that one or if the new one fails or last. ... show more

The alternator is nice and works as it should, however if you are in any kind of a rush I would buy somewhere else. I ordered on a Friday and did not receive it till the next Friday.
