Starts great. Had ours less than 2 years, with less than 1 year of use. For first year, we used it, but it had issues. In particular, the battery really does not last that long. It indicates that the insulation is so-so. And that is the case. Once the battery is dead, then temp drops FAST. And I mean in less than 30 minutes, it will drop from 138F to room temp. I think that it is as fast, if not faster than a ceramic mug. For the second year, it sat paper-wraped and packed in a box with paper-wrapped china and glassware (moved from Colorado to Wash State). Absolutely NONE of the china nor glass was broke. IOW, there was no shock hard enough to break anything in the. Sat for a year. Upon charging, the battery charges and has voltage. OTOH, the MUG will not turn on. This is poorly designed and worse, poorly built. Skip it. ... show more

What I like about my new Muggo Travel mug is my coffee or tea stays piping hot to the last drop! The weight of the mug was a surprise heavyweight solid feel in hand. The LED temperature light is great showing the current temperature of your beverage. The lid takes a little getting use to, but it's fine after a few uses. Received as a 20yr. anniversary gift. Update on original review above, purchased around March 15, 2021 today is May 17 and the battery and LED temperature light no longer works. The first time I used this mug it worked great 130 deg for two cups of coffee. Great! The next day I got a cup of coffee and it would not turn on no matter what I did. I checked at the charger for battery life, for lights fully charged. So with the lack of instruction in User Guide I contacted Amazon Customer support chat and we went through a checkout of the product. Still no display on the mug. While I was waiting for the chat session to resume I went into the kitchen and removed the battery and put the mug into the charger and the display came on. The battery displayed three lights and while the battery was in the charger I attached the mug and the display came on. Did not have that in the user instructions. Used the mug this morning and followed that procedure and had 130 deg for two cups of coffee, Quirky but it works. ... show more

My boyfriend gave this cup to me as a gift as I wanted to have one so bad. I like this product as the lid makes it convenient to carry the cup everywhere and it also even reheat an already cold coffee but the annoying part about is the charge which lasts only 20mins or so. The first day I was able to have it for 3 hours but exactly the next day it could hold the charge for only 20 minutes which is not convenient as we don t have access to usb port all the time. I even let it fully charge for 10 hours prior to using it and if it did not have this issue, I would have said this is the best heating cup out there ... show more

It’s easy to use. At no time at all, my wife was able to use it. When I got the mug, the chord was dead. Meaning I couldn’t power the base plate to warm the mug and charge the battery base. Fortunately, there was a secondary charging option (usb charging). And we were able to mitigate the problem with amazon customer service. I like how this mug have two option of warming the mug, one with base plate and the other is with the battery pack. This mug also allows charging the battery pack and warming the mug at the same time with the base plate. The feel is great, capacity is ok (I think it could be more but it may make the mug too heavy). The flow from the cap is slow, they may need to tweak this a bit. Also the cap feels a little bit cheap (plastic, with push down to allow flow and push down to lock flow). Battery life, can’t say for sure how we feel about it since we just got the mug. Battery pack is magnetized to connect easily to the bottom of mug. Packaging is not bad. Comes with: one battery pack you can see it in the picture, one base, mug, wall charger, usb charger, instructions. Picture with a quarter is how big the opening for fluid flow. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Today is May 23, 2023. I got this for my wife for Mother’s Day less than two weeks ago. She said it stopped working at her work and her coffee was cold. It started up normal but then started doing this and stopped heating. Just spend your $80+ elsewhere. Update: we did get a refund but had to dispose of the item ourselves because Amazon didn’t want to fork out the proper postage for a lithium battery operated device from Hawaii. UPS says it is not to be shipped “ground” (reminiscent of Samsung Galaxy 7 fires). I had to go back-and-forth with the Amazon people on the phone several times to get the message across that the postage label they keep giving me is the wrong one, and I’m not going to keep going to the UPS store to be denied from sending it. I finally had to ask the Amazon rep ….”if this item is on the plane your family is on when it catches fire would you want me sending this the way I am being told to do? “ It wasn’t until that point did I receive a refund. ... show more
