Nice. Well made. For those that have a complaint about the links not being fused or welded at the ends it is steel. Not needed. It is stronger and not soft like the precious metals. It is well made,and all seams are lined up acceptable. Looks great. For me it was a little too shiny. I ran it two passes through a greenie pad and it looks fine. Nice brushed finish now. With normal wear it would dull down a little anyway. For me it is perfect. Well made, industrial looking and is very strong (7.5mm). Not much more you can ask at this price point.     • Stainless Steel Chain Make Great Cat Collars!

This is the weird review that you find for every item on Amazon! LOL! I got tired of replacing my cat's cheap plastic fiber collars that eventually become totally shredded as they scratch their necks. So I decided to make them collars out of stainless steel chain. I chose the 26 inch, 6.5 mm chain and I have now made a collar for each of my three cats out of the one chain. The collars cost me about 6 times the price of the plastic fiber collars but I don't think they will ever wear out and the stainless steel will not corrode and cause my cats any issues with metal toxicity. Each collar that I made weighs from about 22 grams to about 26 grams, including their ID tags and a little bell salvaged from the plastic collars. That's not too much weight for even a small cat to carry. I put them on the cats and they act the same as when wearing the plastic collars and it makes the cats look totally metal! LOL! Looks awesome and real! My chain broke that holds my butterfly so I wanted something sturdier and didn't want to spend a lot. I switch out my jewelry frequently. I love stainless steel and have always had good luck it. This was a good buy and I am really happy so far!

I ordered several kinds of chains almost exactly like this one, and despite looking fantastic, this chain was one of the poorer quality chains (and go figure, among the cheapest in price). Mostly because the clasp isn't the best (I would recommend replacing it), and if you look at each individual link, you can see that none of them are actually completely solid all the way around. This means that ALL of them can be stretched apart, making it very likely that the chain will break under minimal force. I will not wear anything nice on this chain because I'm pretty sure it has a shorter lifespan. Definite pros: -Very lightweight, more than the other chains I got (which were of same length and thickness). Very comfortable to wear. -Very shiny, GREAT look overall! For the PRICE (I paid about $5), I can't necessarily complain here. You always get what you pay for, so if you're looking for something DURABLE, then definitely look somewhere else. But as a beginner chain for a child or something, or to use as a spare, this would be great! For reference, I got the 4mm, 16" length. ... show more

We have purchased 4 of these now. 3 of them have been the smallest size (16”), and while we have had a continuing problem with the jump ring failing on each of them (really cheap to buy .925 silver jump rings by the dozens) we have been pretty happy with them. We have been using the small ones to get our youngest used to wearing necklaces. He has Sensory Intergration Disorder, so wearing a necklace was uncomfortable, & very distracting for him. We want to be able to purchase him a gold necklace, but we’re not prepared to waste our money in case he lost it due to taking it off & losing it, or never get used to the sensation of a necklace around his neck. This necklace has been great, we even ordered a large one for our oldest son! It has a really nice & heavy weight, & while never being taken off have never turned green, or discolored in any way. Both good reasons that also happen to make it not only a good necklace, but also a great training aid that doesn’t cost an arm & a leg! They look really nice on too! Nobody ever guesses that they are not pure silver/white gold necklaces either! Although we are taking one star for having to replace the jump rings - they probably just need thicker ones because the necklace is heavy - We absolutely Do Recommend this necklace both as a training aid for 1st necklaces, but also as a necklace for anyone who wants a great looking necklace without spending $$$! & We also hope our review is helpful to you! ... show more

I had a 14K gold chain just like this that broke in 2 places and I had temporarily fixed it myself, but it kept breaking. I ordered one of these and have been wearing it for several weeks now in the bed, shower and to work, never taking it off and haven't had any issues. For the price, it is an extremely good buy. Plus it looks like it cost 10 times more than it's actual cost. While wearing it 24/7, I thought it might last a week or two, but it seems sturdier than my real 14K chain. ... show more
