    • Charming Scalloped Pillow Covers: Boutique Look with a Practical Price
What is it about scallops that are so charming? For me personally, they bring a smile to my face and add a fun designer touch to any space. As for the construction of these pillows, they seem more like a fine microfiber cloth rather than a plush velvet in the traditional sense. But, the fabric is soft to the touch and sturdy. If you have a cat that likes to claw furnishings on occasion, as I do, these pillows can withstand some scratching without being shredded or getting little pulls. And the trim is robust and securely attached. Also, there’s a zipper for ease of use. The blue color that I chose is sort of a blue-green, like a medium-toned seafoam. And the scalloped trim is a sort of teal color. This particular configuration is kind of a dressed up (velvety) beach-y vibe. As someone else pointed out in a review, the trim is a bit sharp all around on the edge so you don’t want to be hugging up on this pillow. But it’s great for support/leaning up against or as an accent piece for a bedroom, child/teen room, dorm room, meditation space, etc. to make the room look finished. As a reminder, this is a cover, so you’ll need to purchase an insert pillow which can be easily found at a reasonable price. The fill you choose will depend on whether you want a firm or medium density. Overall, the look is boutique-ish, like something you’d find in a specialty store or being sold online by an interior designer. Does it have the same quality as a custom or high-end pillow? No, and that’s because of the material type and the trim (sharp) but if you know this going in, and want a well-made valued-priced pillow cover or two that gives off a charming boutique look, this is a great choice. ... show more

    • Pretty, but could be better.
These are really fun, stylish pillow cases -- very trendy at the moment! They're very cute and I love the colors that they come in, but as someone with experience in textiles and construction, I've got a pretty sharp eye for lower quality fabric and the velvet these are made of is pretty low quality. The construction takes some obvious short cuts that are usually to reduce the price of the piece itself. For the price of these pillowcases, it just seems like they could be nicer? They're not bad, necessarily, just not great. Will still be using them on my sofa, though! At least for now! ... show more

These fit perfectly for those larger throw pillows! The wavy edge is so cute and fun. I use these two covers in my living room for a fun pop of color - absolutely love them. Washes well in the machine normally which I love.

There are so many pillow cover options out there, but these pillow covers (ie they don't contain the pillow core) really stand out for their comfort, their size (20x20 can be hard to find, but that's the size of my pillows so I need them!), their style, and their beauty. These look like a really expensive, high-end, pillow cover. The teal/orange looked the same as the picture in my opinion, and the 20x20 size fit my inserts perfectly. They added a really nice pop of color to my couch.

I've purchased several new throw pillows lately, and these take the prize for top quality and favorite. The material is thick, quality, and durable. The zipper is on the back instead of along the seam--making it much easier to get the pillow closed without putting stress on the zipper. The zipper is very durable. I LOVE the velvet material. Not only is it quality, but it is really easy to clean dog hair off. (I let my precious pups on my couch, and hair is a constant battle. This material helps me in the battle!)
