Not sure why all the negative reviews lately, I love this dress!! Super comfy and flattering on my body. I am 5'7 and 165-170 lbs. I ordered a large. I carry all my weight in my tummy and this dress is baggy enough that it no doesn't show my rolls, but not too baggy that it looks frumpy. Length is good. There's a ruffle on the backside that hides my muffin top and makes it look like I actually have a butt which I don't lol. Lookibg forward to ordering more colors! ... show more

I purchased a large, which fit everywhere except the shoulder/armpit area was snug. I returned & reordered an XL. I’m 5’5” & 180 to 185 lbs. It fits better thru shoulders, but still a lil strange in armpit area. I think the stitching may just be weird in that area. I’m definitely keeping the dress & excited to wear it next month for a wedding. The waist area is meant to be roomy, which it already was when I tried the large. Especially roomy in the XL, but fixed it with a cute belt. If no belt would appear maternity like on me. Someone with a better figure than me might be able to pull it off with no belt, but the belt is definitely a nice touch. Add a pair of open toe & heal ankle booties that match the belt makes an ADORABLE outfit! The ruffles are so cute & the high collar on back of neck is great! ... show more

I love this dress. I have tried so many dresses from so many stores for an event, and where do I find the best fit and the best look, but on Amazon, of all places. The dress is very flattering. I typically wear a medium or large and the medium in this style fit better. someone complained about the excessive number of ruffles, but the only ruffles I think are unnecessary are in the back. The sleeves are cute and the ruffles just under the bust line give a flattering shape. I am short (5'1") and sometimes even petite dresses are too long on me. This one falls to my knee, which I actually like better than where it reaches on the taller model. And it has pockets! The navy is a deep, true navy. The green is a forest green, and the brown is a bit more of a rust than I like. I would have preferred a deeper brown. I gave the dress a 4 out of 5 stars because of the odor. It smells like a factory even after washing it. Another washing and it will be fine. It washed well and fit well after washing. ... show more

    • Order a size larger for the flowy look
Saw this dress advertised on Buzzfeed and thought it would be so cute for an April wedding I'm attending. I never buy clothes from Amazon but thought the reviews and pictures sufficed to try. I received it today and was so disappointed. I'm 5'1, 160lbs, and wear a 36DD and ordered a size medium. I threw the dress on without a bra and the material over my chest was so tight, it distorted my boobs. There's no way I'd be able to get the dress on with a bra. The length of the dress was longer on me than in other pictures, probably because I'm shorter than average. Another user mentioned the ruffles puckered/pulled a bit. I noticed this though I wonder if all of the issues (except for the length) I experienced could be solved by ordering a size large. My fear with that though, is that the dress was only tight around my boobs - it fit fine everywhere else. I don't want to deal with the hassle of potentially returning it a second time so I'll stick to store shopping - but hopefully this review helps similar sized people make a decision on this dress! ... show more

    • Soooo close but just not right
I'm a size 14-16 and 5'10". I've had this in my list for a while and decided to finally pull the trigger as a possible Christmas dress. The color was great (green polka dots) and the material was perfect, thick and stretchy but almost silky, and it hit short, higher than mid thigh on me, but I was planning on wearing leggings with it anyway. My issues with it were the neckline and the bubble skirt. I wish the neckline was either a deeper V or a crew/scoop neck instead. The bottom of the V didn't even hit the top of my boobs, so the dress rode up on my chest and made the neckline look ever weirder. I'm not a small girl, but I have a well defined waist and this dress made me look and feel wider than I am because of the bubble skirt, which I did not expect based on the photos. As other reviewers have said, it is tighter in the arms, chest, shoulders, but was still over all true to size for me. Comfortable and cute option, just not the right fit for me! ... show more

I don't usually bother writing reviews, but for this dress I had to!! I needed something feminine and youthful and fresh looking AND something that would make me look SLIMMER! JACKPOT!! I ordered two - the blue and white polka dot and the teal polka dot. Let me tell you about this dress: The v neck and high back collar makes you look longer up top. Its slimming over my large bust... I'm curvy and so this dress drapes - PERFECTLY. I got it in an extra large. I could have EASILY gone with a large or even a medium. I can get away with wearing this to church - no tights and high heels. and still look APPROPRIATE - because an extra large hits right at my knee (I'm 5'4). Now ….I belted it (which makes it more tailored and polished looking) and threw on some tall ankle booties and just looked effortless and CUTE and FRESH!! Precisely what I was going for. I AM very happy and now contemplating ordering more but in solid colors.... It takes me FOREVER ladies to find something to hide all flaws and highlight the areas I don't mind showing off - and this dress does just that!!! Now don't buy a small and extra small and complain the dress is too short. Its designed to be short which is why I went with an extra large for the added drape AND length - for a conservative look leave it unbelted.. For super polished almost high end look - throw on a belt and shoe boots and you're done!! ... show more
