  • Nice budget capture card
Color: Black
So if youre using this to capture console gaming for streaming, this is wonderful. The quality isnt 4k, I dont believe it is even 1080p... Im not sure how to test it, but its definitely lower quality than a direct connection from my console to my monitor... But the quality is good, not great. ... If youre looking to have the audio play through your PC as well, you need to go into your microphone settings for the "mirabox webcam" and then check the box for listen to this device. Then it will play the sound through your pc. BUT to keep it from echoing on stream you need to go into your OBS settings and mute the mirabox.... it can be a little confusing, but it definitely works, and works well.. $40 bucks is a little nuts for how simple of a device this is, but I suppose it is worth it. I have another one coming from a different company that I only paid $10 for, and Im curious how it will compare to this one. Long story short, this is a solid capture card so far, hopefully it stands the test of time. PS. I tried to use it with a KODAK PIXPRO Astro Zoom AZ421, however, that camera appears to not function as a webcam. I dont think it was the capture cards fault but it didnt work ... show more

  • Great budget capture card
Color: Black
So it does what it's supposed to do, for it's price point it's great. We bought it to stream with the switch. At first it didn't connect with our pc at all, but it was just a bad USB port. No lag so far! The only issue being, also as other users mentioned, is that the audio doesn't always work. When we power cycle the PC, next time setting up on OBS the audio doesn't come in at all, no matter how much we play around with the setting. But as another user mentioned, unplugging and replugging the capture card does fix it oddly lol. ... show more

  • It's a switch dream
Color: Black
Got it for a switch, and I love the fact I can use streaming software to add things to the screen for myself. (like the button overlay because I am not used to where that A button is). It took some time with settings trying to get sound and everything to work for me, but that can be due to the streaming software and the fact my pc audio is always a nightmare. It generally works well for just streaming for myself at the pc or streaming it on discord. Sometimes need to relaunch the streaming software or audio can be touch and go but that issue is not necessarily with the product. I love it and it does what I want it to do and already ordered one for the teen to torture me with for troubleshooting. ... show more

  • Held through a 4-hour stream very well!
Color: Black
To be clear, this does only do 1080p, the 4K is just what it can accept. I knew this going in, and was impressed with the video quality. I've heard that these cheaper capture cards show compression artifacts, and I can see a tiny bit(like a jpeg at high quality but not maximum quality) if I look closely and it's paused, but NOBODY watching the recording will notice. Twitch and YouTube will compress it further. It's also higher quality than Nintendo Switch's video share. I connected mine to an M1 Mac Mini and OBS Studio recognized it automatically. You do have to set both a video input AND an audio input with OBS Studio, like with any video source. There was maybe a millisecond of lag which gives you a little disconnect from the gameplay, which is why I'm very happy this has passthrough. I didn't notice any lag with passthrough, and I continued to get audio from my computer, which is handy considering my monitor has no speakers. Even Elgato cards will have lag, so that isn't a drawback. The passthrough will be even more useful if you have a slow computer. My experience with this was only from a single 4-hour stream from a Nintendo Switch and some shorter test streams, so hopefully I'll check back later with an update. I've read that this can sometimes start with no audio, and you can fix it by unplugging it and plugging it back in. If that happens, I suppose it's still worth the price compared to Elgato. OBS Studio just reconnects when you plug it back in. ... show more

  • Decent but not great
Color: Grey
It functions properly, but it looks just okay. It's in full 1080p, with 4k pass-through to your tv or monitor. So writing 4k on the product is disingenuous but fair enough. The picture quality just isn't as good as even capture cards that I've gotten for cheaper than this one. Gradients don't flow right, they're all segmented and just not good-looking, which is a pretty big issue. I'd get a different one if I could go back in time. ... show more

  • Great product for the price
Color: Black
It might not have all the specs as a pricy capture card, but if you are just starting with streaming or any related activity, it does the job, it's just plug-and-play with Windows, macOS, and Linux as described, you don't have to be highly tech saavy to use, if you're looking for an affordable capture card this is the one. If by any chance you are using macOS, it works flawlessly, you can plug any console to it, and it will work. However, you might encounter a limitation on the refresh rate, but that will depend merely from the refresh rate of the output display, and your current streaming settings. ... show more

  • Doesn’t Disappoint
Color: Black
For those of you looking to capture content from one PC and push it to another without using pass through, this is the device for you. Pass through is limited to 60hz with this device. In my case, I’m using it to mirror my DisplayPort display and push to a streaming PC. The 60hz cap doesn’t impact this kind of set up, and I’m still pushing over 60hz in my game of choice and running my DisplayPort monitor at the max 170hz. While the colors don’t pop as much as a more expensive option, you can’t deny the value for 40 bucks. Anyone looking to stream to a dedicated computer like me on an infrequent basis, save the money you’d spend on a product over 100 dollars and get this. You won’t be disappointed. ... show more
