This camera is very sturdy I put this camera through two fires and several trainings since I bought it and it has not given up on me yet it has amazing video quality the picture is a screenshot I grabbed off of the camera on a fire The battery is good it comes with a spare battery and it last through several fires before I had to charge it several trainings and for the price it was worth every bit of it it's a good camera for your money for any firefighter The helmet cam I bought for three reasons One so I know I have accountability so I know I'm doing the right thing on seeing two I can go back and look at it for training purposes after a fire or when we're doing training go back and look at it and for peace of mind if somebody says we didn't do something right we can go back and show them we did definitely recommend this cam to any firefighter especially volunteers ... show more

I purchased this to document training sessions, and some response to utilize for after action review. It states it is not recommended for burn buildings, we had live burns and the camera worked without issue. The configuration settings are a little tedious, but other than that I am very pleased.

Would be five stars but the wifi just doesn't cut it. Camera quality and durability are great. Picture/video is crystal clear. Sound is a little quiet, you can hear radio traffic well and personal voice well but it's hard to make out what other fire fighters are saying to you or around you. Wifi has 10 second lag on live feed, and shuts off when camera is greater then five feet away so unless you have it in your pocket while fighting fire it's pointless. When trying to upload videos straight to iphone off the camera it was never successful even with them within six inches of eachother on a table. There is no load bar so I'm not even sure it started even after several attempts of different videos obtained. 10 out of 10 would buy another camera, however would save the money and opt-out of the wifi option due to it not functioning except for on live mode with large lag. Used with 16gb card on 1080 setting at 15 minute durations was able to capture two videos before memory was used up. ... show more

Bought this for my firefighter husband as a Christmas gift. Perfect! Video quality is amazing. Lightweight, easy to attach to helmet, easy charging and auto turn on when motion is detected. Best gift!!!
