The shirt is very well made and the material and workmanship are high quality. Unfortunately, the XL fit closer to an XXL. My husband really liked the shirt and still plans to wear it...he'll likely wear it open with a T-shirt or A-shirt underneath so that it still looks flattering.

I'm rather impressed by this shirt. You know, you hardly see it when the buttons are done like this. It has a sort of fly style covering on it, which is really cool. And lends to a really unique aesthetic. I can imagine this style is popular somewhere, but I've never seen it around here. The shirt is made out of a really nice, light, linen-like material. Don’t confuse it for proper linen, but that’s not necessarily bad. The cut is definitely relaxed. It would be great for an easy look for a Sunday barbecue or beach trip. But I wish I sized down in hindsight, because I prefer a more slim-fitted look for day-to-day. I got it in white, and the material is a little translucent. You can make out the silhouette of a white t-shirt underneath. Because of that, I'm definitely going to use it as a casual kind of shirt. Which I know is what it's intended for, but it's definitely could be nice for some semi-professional settings, too. Might pick up another color, actually. All in all, I'd recommend it. This is a good-looking shirt that's more comfortable than button-up, collared shirts usually are. For me anyway, it's "T-Shirt comfortable but not T-shirt slovenly." The fabric is soft and comfortable even when worn without an undershirt. Note that there is no shirt pocket. That's not a problem, it's just something to be aware of. The hidden buttons are stylish, but perhaps just slightly fussier to fasten than normal buttons. No problem! Just unbutton the top three and then put the shirt on or off like a pullover shirt. Once it's on, you may want to go ahead and fasten one or two of those buttons. I like this shirt, and will wear it often. If the style and features appeal to you, I recommend it. ... show more

This is a nice shirt, it fit well and I love the fact that the buttons are hidden. Its is a bit thin but I guess that may be nice for a summer shirt when it's hot out. What I don't get is the little black lines that go horizontally across the shirt where each of the buttons are. I didn't catch this prior to ordering but it is shown in the photos if you look closely. They really stick out in person more so than the pictures. I ordered the white shirt and the lines on it are black. This really ruins the shirt for me, I notice some colors have less of a contrast in line than others but most of the colors have the lines in a thread color that really stands out. Never seen this on a shirt before and really don't know the purpose. If you don't mind the lines, this is a nice shirt. ... show more
