i've had this on my list for a while. When I seen that it was available for review I promptly requested one. My hesitation was 1. how often do i tenderize meat, and 2)it looks like it would be a pain to clean after use. At this point I really can't say how often I will use the tenderizer, but it does it's job- And its not difficult to clean. The dishwasher did most of the work. When this tenderizer arrived, I only had chicken breast. I removed the tenderloin and then ran it thru the tenderizer two times. Pan seared the breast and sat down to find out how well it worked. It works really good, although it does somewhat mangle the meat. But i think that is the point. The breast looked beat up when i laid it the pan, but the magic of cooking seemed to tighten the meat, eliminating a lot of the mangled appearance. I don't know how quick I will be to use this for just myself, but I would take the time to tenderize before packaging for the freezer. Overall, this item worked really well, and i would make a point to use this with cheaper cuts of meat. Cleaning was easy, and it is well built.
