I love this color!! This red looks amazing on me! I am fortunate to have kind of full lips, which still seem to be my best feature, despite the “old lady smoker” lines all around the edges. I’ve noticed that light colors with a sparkly or metallic look seem to emphasize these lines, so I avoid lighter shades like pink. For reference, I have auburn hair (mostly gray now) and somewhat pale skin. As to the functionality of this product: I like the performance of this product better than my previous go to stay on 💄 lipstick, which was Revlon color stay overtime 16 hours lipstick. That lipstick often beads off at the border between the dry part of my lips and where the lips become moist inside the mouth. That lipstick also would tend to look weird after a few hours. This lipstick is better about both of those, but it’s not perfect either. The Revlon lipstick mentioned above comes with a lipgloss, which is great But can be too sexy at times. This lipstick comes with a lip balm, which is really nice if you want to look professional and not “sexy” with the full gloss that the other lipstick has. ... show more

I have been using Maybelline lip color for several years and have not had a single problem. The color stays put and the color never fades. Remember to apply the moisturizer on the opposite end of the stick, as it gives nice shine. For about $10.00 you can't beat it. THE BEST

This Maybelline Superstay 24 is one of my favorite Liquid lip colors. It stays and stays and after eating pasta and everything else, it's still on after 12-18 hours. I usually apply the color but instead of the colorless balm that comes with the lip color I apply a similar shade of matte lipstick on top just as the liquid is about to dry. It achieves the same effect of keeping the lips soft but adds a double dose of color that does not fade as it sort of blends with the liquid lip color. People always ask me how my lip color is still perfect after hours of application and eating, and the secret is this base coat. This Keep up the Flame is a matte cool red color with a slight pinkish tone. It works very well as a base for several iconic reds like MAC Russian Red, Urban Decay Bad Blood, or NYX Perfect Red. The Keep it Red shade is a true red with a warmer tone, and also works as a great base for shades such as MAC Ruby Woo, or the Maybelline 14 hour lipsticks Ravishing Rouge. Overall, take care to scrub your lips clean and apply a balm the night before so they're smooth. The liquid lip color should be applied to clean and dry lips with no make up on them for the longest lasting application. Freshening the top coat with a lipstick is a good idea to keep it glowing and rich. For the price, I really like these colors and think that they last a bit longer than the Covergirl liquid lip colors. ... show more

OMG! This has been my go-to lipstick brand for years - in ALL shades! I do not go out without lipstick. I can look like I stepped out of a trash heap, but as long as I have lipstick on, I feel fine. I put this on in the morning and it usually does not come off until I remove it with Neutrogena's light body oil, at night. And the reds, OH, THE REDS! The deeper tints last until the next day if I don't take it off! :) You don't even need a liner if you learn how to put it on correctly! .......BAD: THEY TEST ON ANIMALS! :( PLEEEASE!!! Someone tell me there is a lipstick out there with this stay power, that is cruelty-free? So far I've spend $100 on brands people say last, but they really don't :( - dilanbay{at}gmail ... show more
