This little robot is really cool. It says it is a coding robot but it seems more geared towards teaching kids how to solve problems in a logical way. Nonthtless, it took me hours to understand all that it does so I think it is the perfect toy to keep a child busy and away from the TV. And it is a great start towards the STEM world. Lastly, the design and add-ons are so well made, and the attention to details did not go unnoticed. The media could not be loaded. Fun little robot for my 5 year old to figure out. I let her learn about it from opening the box and doing everything herself. It's been great to see her excitement as she understands how it works. It has a random dance mode that we all enjoy watching because it is so cute! The volume is set and non-adjustable. You could see that as a pro or con, it's not quiet. So far it seems durable. The story mats are well designed and durable too. ... show more

    • Complex setup but excellent customer service.
Update - MATATLAB sent me a sheet to assist in the setup and button explanation - which for some reason was not in my box. Now that we were able to see what everything does properly it was a bit smoother getting it setup and for my kids (7 & 8) to play with Tale-Bot. So far it is very interactive and my kids seem to enjoy the double sided maps, and accessories. For some reason I just struggled to set this Tale-Bot coding robot up and get it going. I didn't find the instructions or lack there of to be helpful at all. There was not anything that explained what the buttons on the top are for or what they mean. Honestly we are still struggling a bit on how to properly use this little robot and the 5 interactive maps that are included. Price - a bit steep Quality - it seems to be made well and the included accessories are also well made. ... show more
