I tried these after purchasing a different brand of the same type of light that no longer sells them. It arrived today and I had it installed within 5 minutes. The amber hue is spot on to the other lights I purchased. I love that you just flip the switch twice to switch between light modes and it works fine properly installed on a three-way switch. For those wondering, these are not dimmable but they do have Cool, Natural or Daylight options which you can choose at installation or switch with a quick twist of the light and drop down. Simply twist it back on after choosing. Confession, I did try a cheaper light to replace my other ones but I didn’t like the way the amber light looked so I didn’t use it. I prefer this setup, which has the down-facing main light, and the ring for the amber night light up top at the ceiling. It just sets a different tone for night time. I have the 15 inch one coming in a couple days for my living room and I’m super excited about it! ... show more

Bought this to replace an incandescent only bulb fixture. Wanted something that didn’t hang down to increase overhead clearance as well This light fit the bill perfectly. Installing took all of 15 minutes, and had all the included hardware. Screws, wire nuts and drywall anchors, although I only used the wire nuts and reused hardware. It’s lightweight and easy to manipulate to install. Color temperature control is governed by a switch on the inside, my suggestion is prior to clipping to the anchor plate, find the setting you want. To activate the night light mode, turn the light off and back on, likewise to activate the main light again. It’s a good light and worth the $25 ish dollars I paid on sale with good functionality. The circuit in my bathroom does not have a dimmer, so I could not test this feature It fit directly into place, and worked perfectly ... show more

Very impressed with the dual lighting feature. I put it in out bathroom and it lets me have a nice low light effect for at night or a relaxing shower. But then I can turn it up to "normal" for cleaning or whatever. Casts a nice, even light and has a clean simple style. Installation was a breeze. It is impressive to see at this price point they even included a hanger wire to help aid installation. I have cursed many time while installing light fixtures wishing I had more than 2 hands, no problem here. I'll bet it took me 5 minutes. What you get for the price is impressive. If I could change anything it would be the night light temp. While I truly hate any kind of light fixtures over 3000k in my home, the night light is super warm. If it were a touch cooler it would give a bit more of a lunar eclipse feel. But this is nitpicking a great fixture. ... show more

I bought this light to replace an old dining room fixture that had seen better days. That fixture, I believe, was original to the house, so it had been there since the 1950s. I did have some concerns at first about hanging a modern LED fixture there, but these are not that expensive so I took the plunge. I'm really happy that I did. The light can be mounted in two ways - either to a conventional electric box in the ceiling, or simply attach it to the ceiling with drywall anchors or screws. I was able to get mine to work with my70+ year old ceiling box. Installation was straightforward and easy. The light fits flush to the ceiling with no gaps and it's really low-profile. As far as performace goes, it puts out plenty of light. The old light had been on a dimmer, and I bought a new dimmer switch because there were a couple of reviews where some people had trouble with the older dimmers. However, the light worked just fine with my existing dimmer - which was probably also 70+ years old. (I changed it anyway because it was old, and I had a new one ready to go.) I rarely need to use the light full-blast - it's typically dimmed down to around half. The night light feature might be my favorite thing with this light. It doesn't shine downward like the main light, it shines upward to the ceiling. This delivers a more diffuse, indirect light at night, and its color is not harsh at all. Even at full brightness it's suitable as a night light. In fact, if I come out to the kitchen in the middle of the night, I don't turn any lights on, I just increase the brightness of the night light, do my thing, and turn the dimmer back down when I leave. If I didn't have a ceiling fan in my kitchen already, I would put one of these in that spot. TLDR: I really dig this light. It's a great value for the money and it has such a low-key design aesthetic that it can literally go anywhere. The night light is awesome. This one of the very few products I've bought on Amazon that I can't find any negative things to say about. Would definitely recommend and/or buy again. ... show more

Light appears to be good quality. The night light feature sold me and it's pretty cool. The install was made easier by the wire hook attached to the light. Very well thought out. I just hope it lasts and doesn't flicker. I just installed a second light, this time connected to a Lutron dimmer, but unfortunately, the night light feature doesn't work with this particular dimmer. Now, when the the light is turned on, the night light flickers on and off, and the primary light goes on. Kind of a bummer as I was hoping to be able to use the night light. ... show more

I finally went ahead and bought these to replace 3 light fixtures in my fathers trailer. When I say I had all 3 of the old fixtures removed and these installed in under 30 mins total, I'm being serious. Light installation was simple 3 wires with wire nuts. All of the hardware is provided. They are very bright and the night light function is awesome. My dad loves the option of deciding what color temperature he liked best and the neutral white (middle option) was his favorite. Me personally I liked the warmer setting but the ability to choose whatever of the three you want is great. I will be buying more for my inlaws house to replace the bulky cheaply built ones that came with their house. Also LEDs should help with the electrical bill over the incandescent bulbs. ... show more
