  • Very Impressive Guitar
I've never had a high-quality guitar before due to cost. Being able to charge on Amazon helped me afford a much better guitar than I have ever had. Martin didn't disappoint! Excellent sound, action and appearance! I absolutely love this guitar! It's been 18 months since I got this guitar and I'm impressed more and more every day. The workmanship is above reproach. The sound and playability only improves over time. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar for a player of any level! ... show more

  • My Martin guitar.
I can’t say enough about this Martin guitar. Anything under excellent just won’t do the proper justice. The guitar is totally awesome in every way. I love the look and the way it feels, as well as how it sounds. Martin has always been my favorite guitar. However Martin passed all my expectations. I received my guitar in less than a week after I put in my order. This company is great. You can’t go wrong with this company. Thanks ... show more

  • Bad setup.
The media could not be loaded. High e string completely frets out around 12th and 13th fret. Wanted to break this guitar in for a couple months before having a setup done on it, but now need to decide to either rush that to make sure it doesn't have major issues, or just cut my losses and return it. Should be a no brainer, but otherwise the guitar is great... ... show more

  • New but 2 years old
I noticed that the guitar is a 2 year old model so I think the price was fair but not extraordinary. I was not at first pleased with the sound since it sounded like a plastic box instead of rich and sweet. I changed the saddle to a bone saddle and the strings to light and bought new bone pegs. The new pegs fit like they where made for the bridge unlike the old plastic ones. I am a novice but have an ear for how something should sound and these upgrades where a must and now it sounds much better although it isn't as rich and sweet as I would like. I have never sanded a saddle down before or changed out strings so it took me a bit to figure out how to do that and I left the action 2 milometers high and feel it works good for the light strings. I would like to change the plastic bridge to wood and the nut too although I will have to pay a Luther to do this but I don't know of anyone who is good where I live. I am not giving this a guitar a perfect rating for two reasons. First it is a two year old new model and this wasn't said in the description. Second I ended up buying new strings and a new saddle to change it so it sounds acceptable. I blame the seller for not playing the guitar to make sure it sounded good from Martin guitar manufacturer before trying to resell it. Okay now the positive things. This guitar is absolutely beautiful with its solid back sides and top. You don't need to buy a case for this and the felt inside the soft case is so soft and its 1 inch thick and will protect this guitar for years to come. Unless you bang your guitar intentionally then I don't see how it would be damaged unless something falls on it or is stepped on. ... show more

  • Solid playable guitar worth the money.
This is a solid guitar. Out of the box it was ok. I added Elixir 80/20 Bronze medium strings, brass bridge pins, and a bone saddle with a WerKen (?) leather strap and I now have a rig that I’m not afraid to take places as the soft case that came with it is great for hauling around in the back of my SUV. I have a modeling amp I hook it to sometimes and it does the job. Not the guitar for an heirloom but not one you will spaz over if it gets bumped about a bit either. ... show more

  • This IS A Martin Guitar
It look like, feels like, and sounds like a quality Martin Guitar. The craftsmanship is spot on and the playability is great. As a result of my short experience with this acoustic, I plan to get the 12-string later on.

  • play before you buy a guitar
I wish that martin would let the wood dry fully before slapping these guitars together, almost all these guitars have a nasty bump in the fretboard at the 12 fret. Very annoying
