  • Cute cheep almost 1 gallon tank!
The media could not be loaded. This I think will work well for my fish fry! I will warn that the description says this is a 7 inch cube when you can see (photos attached) it’s more like a 6 inch cube! The top is plastic with a big air hole hole which I did not like so I covered with a pice of plastic until I can think of something else. This does come with a cute light though not very bright and with no switch so you have to plug and unplug or use a light timer. We will see if can grow plants under this light! The glass sides a quite thin but that was to be expected for the price. Other than this it is working quite well with my small aqua top sponge filter and the whole tank on top of my hermit crab heat mat! I wouldn’t put a betta in this small tank but for shrimp, snails or small fish fry I think this will work alright! Hope this review was helpful! ... show more

  • Great product, Just be careful if your using for betta
I love the tank and the light its super cute for a little beginner tank for my betta. But a warning it does have holes in the lid, bettas are notorious jumpers, especially females. My female betta has found her way out of the tank twice thankfully I saved her. I

  • Quarantine/Transition Tank Only - Your fish should thrive, not survive!
Responsible fish owners know that when you purchase a fish, your purpose is to have them thrive, not survive. I think it is irresponsible for the seller to not have put this information in the description of the product so shame on them. Moreover, this tank should be used as a quarantine tank ONLY and for ONE fish max at a time (or a few fry while they transition to the big boy tank) which is why I gave this 4 stars, otherwise, the product is great. I absolutely concur with the majority of reviews that this is a perfect quarantine tank or transition tank. Not to mention, lazy fish owners do not understand that buying a smaller tank is not easier, while it may be cheaper, you have to clean a small tank much more frequently. Investing in a 5 gallon or 10 gallon tank allowed me to only have to clean my tank once a month! Much less maintenance for you and a much happier fish! Finally, when my betta fish was not doing great I isolated him in this tank until he made a full recovery and he is happily back in his 5 gallon tank. Other uses for this would be a great for a retirement haven for an older betta in his last months of life to rest and be at peace or for fry who need to be separated for a time before being put back into the bigger tank. This tank is perfect for those uses, and only that. ... show more

  • Very nice quality for growing plants or small shrimp
I originally ordered this tank to use as a betta tank, but after some research learned that bettas need a much bigger tank. However, the quality of this tank is great and the aesthetic is perfect and sleek so I decided to keep it and use it as a tank to grow my aquarium plants for my larger tank.

  • Love the rimless look
Have had my betta for over 9months now and he's going strong in this tank, good enough size for him to be swimming around most of the time.

  • Too Small For Fish, But Still a Nice Mini Tank
This aquarium is too small for fish - any fish, including Bettas. If you are looking at this tank for fish, please find a larger tank. I didn't buy this for fish though. I bought this to culture daphnia/etc in, and it would be perfect for aquatic "bugs". I'm not set on having a large culture because my aquarium is only 20 gallons. This tank comes with just a small light that lights it well. The light is really my only complaint as it's nearly impossible to place where you want it (ie, straight above the center of the top) because you can't bend it to change it's position like you'd have with a grow light. It seems too small for a filter, but luckily I don't need, nor want one (and frankly, that's more important if you decide to make the unfortunate choice of housing a fish in it). I think an air stone will be easy to add, which I plan on to aerate the water. Unlike my 20 gallon, this tank somehow ended up level. I genuinely have no idea if this means it is or isn't level. Your mileage may vary on that. It's surprising to me how difficult it was to find a tank this small that's actually a box (rather than a hexagon, cylinder, or whatever awkward shape), and this tank does look very nice... really, prettier than my 20 gallon. I could genuinely see buying one of these to keep aquatic plants in on a desk. If the lid were modified, I could also see it being used for terrestrial bugs like a jumping spider... or just a small terrarium (though I personally prefer my fully closed terrariums). I assume the light does offer some UV, though we'll find out of the floating plants tolerate it. ... show more
