I have been using these for maybe a year or two and have had no problems with them. I wear waterproof mascara and it removes it with no problems. I love that these are fragrance-free, oil-free and they don't irritate my eyes. Every now and then if I'm too rough, it may sting my eyes but that is remedied by rinsing them with water. Also, the pad is soft, not scratchy like other pads I've tried. If I could change 1 thing, I'd make them a bit larger. Besides being a great eye make up remover it is the best cleaner for other things. I've cleaned the floor, rings in the toilet, and the bathroom sink. Wish I could get larger pads made with the same cleaner. I love these pads.
