They're very soft and do not leave stray hairs on the face, which was my biggest concern before receiving these. None of the handles were loose, and they're very light to hold, which I like. Soft but see pic for size reference. Most are very small, minimal area brushes. Worth the money, but not quite the deal of some other sets I’ve gotten in the past due to the size here. Most are so small I won’t even use many of them. I’m no makeup expert, just a 40+yo mom rushing to get out the door, so maybe I just don’t know how to use 10 TINY brushes along with 20+ others…. These WILL be great travel brushes though! And great for younger teens and tweens. For what I paid ($8), I’m not disappointed, but will get a previously purchased set for main use.
