  • strong cards; best value
I have opened about a box and a half of collector boosters from baldur's gate. The results vary per pack but typically, a box will have at least one ultra-rare card. If you are looking for the borderless dragons this is the way to go. That box I opened had 3 dragons, all foils, and one of them was borderless. Absolutely nutty artwork and foil quality on that one. The packs themselves can be dissatisfying because you are trying to get a card worth more than the pack, from the pack. The boxes tend to have a higher average chance of containing at least a certain amount of value. compared to the set booster boxes, I would highly recommend the collector boxes. If you are looking for the dragons, know that nearly every box I opened had one ancient dragon. My estimated value on the collector box was $230 at time of writing this. Compared to the set boxes which averaged $70. I did not include cards under $2 in my guestimations. One last thing - foil quality! 5/5 on this set. Most of them are bright, some of them are brighter. If you are looking for good foils, get the collector box. The set boxes will net you foils, and they will be high quality, but the difference is not noticeable on 'most' of the cards. This is because there appear to be several variations in foil printings. I will dub them: bright foils, patterned foils, and dungeon module portrait-only foils. I have seen all of the variations in the collector box. ... show more

  • A lot of rares and foils
I love this set because this has so many dragons and DnD theme cards, and I was fortunate enough to get a lot of them. I know that this kind of box is totally a gamble and many people don't like to gamble like this, but since I got the most expensive and highest priced card in this set (Ancient Copper Dragon), I guess I got more in return than the price I paid for this collector's booster box. I also got a few other pricy cards which was cool. You get 180 cards in total which is also cool. A lot of foils. I liked this box because it was fun to open each collector's booster, and anticipate what I will get in each collector's booster. ... show more

  • Great Value
Got a lot of great cards. The cost was definitely worth it with the cards we got. My wife loved that they were all shiny.

  • Expensive, but nice to have.
While I believe the price is too high, I have good time playing the cards with friends. Foiling quality is still a concern but foiling for this product is not sub par when compared to other sets of MTG.

  • fun to open
Fun to open, only thing not to like is the quality control of the printed in america cards but that's Wizards fault, not amazon's, they curl badly within minutes to hours of opening the packs, if they're not already curled in the pack.

  • Great for a first time Buyer!
This is my first time ever buying magic cards, and I just love how they came and how great the artwork is!

  • Bowed cards
All of these cards were severely bowed. I assume they were somewhere that wasn’t climate controlled for a long time. Probably best to buy in person.
