This robot is not cheap. I am writing this review without trying it because I have not opened my pool yet. I can tell you what I have found out from the instructions and what I have received. It is a big and strong looking machine. It has two filters where others I have seen only have one. It has a remote control and is like those automatic vacuum cleaners that run around the house and dock for charging. This has a little gizmo that is tethered by an electric cord. It has paddle wheels on two sides and contacts on the face. There are very specific requirements for the depth of the charger. The cord for the charger is 16’ from the transformer to the connector. There is no mention if the transformer is weatherproof so you have to have shelter within 16’ of where you are mounting the charger. Where you mount the charger has specific limitations. It needs to be where the water is 6” from the top of the pool. They don’t give you a range just 6” and they don’t say what happens if it is not 6”. Luckily, the charger does extend up and down so you have some play. From the top of the pool to the contacts when fully extended is about 13” but they don’t say anything about that, just the water has to be 6” from the top of the pool so that is somewhat confusing. It has to have no obstructions 3’ on either side of the charger and 9’ in front of it. Then the depth to the bottom is allowed in two ranges. The first range is 3.9’ to 5.2’ and you don’t have to use the extension. Or 5.9’ to 8.2’ and you can use the included extension. The key it to find the right place where the water is the correct height to the top of the pool and the depth to the bottom is within the required range. Don’t forget your power need to be within 16’ of where the charger is mounted or your will need a waterproof box to enclose the transformer and another one for the plug if it is not long enough. This has three main functional areas; operating mode, working period and operating hours. Within each of those there are sub routines. This all provides you with lots of choices of how, where and when to clean. You can set the commands on the screen or you can download the app and do it from your phone. You will have to drill holes on the deck of your pool to attach the charger. I don’t think I want to permanently attach this to the side of my pool. I will use some plugs like what we have for our cover. That way I can screw this down and remove it when necessary, like over the winter. This puppy is not cheap. I will hopefully have it set up and running within a month. I have a robot now but I have to take it out and charge it each time I use it. Pool vacuum has a cord that is not long enough for a deep pool that pulls the vacuum off the pool bottom causing it to float & not pickup anything. I had to return it,

My wife purchased the Lydsto P1 MAX for me as present and I am totally happy with this purchase. I live in Florida where most pool owners have enclosed pool cages due to the high volume of insects that we deal with on a day-to-day basis. So having an enormous amount of debris in my pool is pretty much non-existent. That said, I love the features that are equipped with the Lydsto such as all coverage, wall climbing, and floor cleaning, these settings could be set before placing it in the pool or remotely using the Lydsto App. I've only used this machine twice, however, I will provide you with an updated review after 6 months of using it.
