First, this is not a game, but more of a 3D tour through the oceans. There are no hand controls and all menus are activated by moving your head in the downward motion, then back up. Set up was very easy. However, it does require you to download an app on your mobile phone. Additionally, this requires the use of a mobile phone, similar in size to the iPhone 14 Pro. The set comes with a wooden 3D puzzle of a shark, soft cube, sticker book, poster, book, and the headset. My 8 year old has enjoyed wearing the headset and learning about the ocean. The graphics are great and the interaction is fluid. It can’t necessarily be compared to the oculus because it isn’t a “game”, but I can say the graphics are in line with those of the oculus 2. ... show more

I ordered the set as our family has been curious about trying a virtual reality headset. Our box arrived quickly, and the items were packaged really well. This would make a great gift item for the upcoming holidays. It literally took five minutes for us to set up the headset and experience the virtual reality of the oceans. You download an app onto your phone and your phone gets inserted into the goggles and voilà you have your journey. There are several cute virtual reality videos to watch with the headset. It’s a very family friendly item. The headset is adjustable and comfortable. The nicest part was that it was so simple to get started and to navigate the system. I recently ordered the Ocean VR Headset, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I was a little hesitant at first because I was worried it might be more suitable for a child, but I intended to use it as an adult who cannot afford trips to snorkel all the time. Luckily, it turns out it's perfect for adults, too! The graphics are above expectations, considering the price and limitations, especially because it simply uses a cell phone. As long as you don't expect it to be more than what it is, you will enjoy this headset. Setting up the Ocean VR Headset was not difficult at all. All I had to do was download the app using the QR code provided and then control everything using the augmented reality (they call it the holographic explorer cube) control cube. I even tried it with random VR videos before downloading the app, and it still worked great. So disappointed. I bought three of these for each separate set of children. Was so disappointed that the instructions were basically useless. I’m a great grandmother who is not psychic enough to guess how these are to work. With the help of my youngest son we finally figured out how to get the pictures functioning but never the ‘cube’ which is supposed to bring added dimensions. It was a disappointment except for some of the visuals but I feel we have no way of accessing what all these were supposed to offer.
