  • Perfect for King Ranch leather
I've been researching for a while about which leather conditioner to use on my 2005 Ford F150 King Ranch leather seats. My initial plan was to use Leatherique since I already had some. But after testing some on the center console arm rest, it made the leather tacky and too dark. I also read on some forums where someone used Leatherique on the whole seat and it had disastrous outcome. Then I saw a YouTube video that used Leather CPR on King Ranch leather and I took a chance and bought it. After having used the CPR, I have to tell anyone reading this review, this stuff is amazing. After applying generous amount of the conditioner to the seats, it turned a beautiful brown color. It was especially good on the back seats, where on mine, the leather wasn't too dried out, but the color faded to a pale brown, almost like raw hide. I had the center arm rest that pulled down to compare the original color and after conditioning the leather, the rest of the back seat turned into the same color as the inner part of the arm rest. The front seats had more damage both from the sun and contaminates from dirt and human sweat. It did turn some parts darker. I think I will have to buy a separate leather cleaner such as Leather New or saddle soap to actively remove the grime out in these areas. The feel of the leather after conditioning gave it the same supple and smooth feeling as the original. There was no stickiness or grippy texture after it dried out. Smell was neutral. Overall, I am extremely pleased. Highly recommend it if you are planning to use it for King Ranch leather seats. ... show more

  • Works well, but apply LIBERALLY (and a few other pointers)
This stuff works pretty well. We have a leather armchair that's pretty beat up, and this stuff did a pretty good job cleaning it up and buffing out all of the cracking and scuffs. That having been said, it doesn't fix everything, like the spot on our chair's arm where the leather is a pretty roughed up. But even there, it does a pretty good job of softening things and preventing further damage. Now, a few pointers. As others have said, you should follow the directions on the bottle. In particular, you should apply the stuff LIBERALLY all over whatever you're treating. I applied a thin first coat, which did some good, but didn't work as well as the second coat when I literally smeared a pretty thick layer of the stuff all over the chair. As a point of reference, for our chair, I ended up using a bit less than half of the 32 oz. bottle. I wouldn't expect to use so much in the future after this initial treatment, but this should give you some sense for how much you might want to use at first. It also could be that two treatments work better than one. I initially applied a thin coat, which did some good, but didn't work as well as the heavy second coat. So while two coats may be beneficial (at least for the first treatment), I attribute most of the good results to the heavy second coat. Next tip: This product is actually a refill for something else. In particular, the directions refer to the "non-drip squeeze bottle," which is supposed to be refilled by this bottle, but doesn't come with it. That's not a big deal, as you don't need the squeeze bottle to use this stuff, but it also doesn't come with the "sponge applicator" that this product references. I initially used a new kitchen sponge, but for the second coat, I just used some clean rags, which seemed to work fine. So one should just be aware that the directions make reference to various things that aren't actually included with it. Another tip: Make sure to wipe down whatever you've treated pretty well. The goop can get in the stitching of something like a chair, so you should be sure to wipe out the excess, particularly to avoid any discoloration. The stuff initially makes the leather darker, but as long as you wipe it down, doesn't leave any permanent coloration (and might not do so even if you don't wipe it down, but you should do so just to be safe). Finally, the stuff does smell a bit, but nothing too serious. And it does cause some darkening, but again, nothing too serious, and most of the discoloration appears to be pretty temporary. Overall, pretty happy with the performance of this stuff. Our chair looks completely different after having used it. ... show more

  • Great Product for my leather couch!
I have used this product for years. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it! I use it on my leather couch and my leather car seats. It keeps the leather soft while also conditioning it. My couch is now 13 years old and has survived both dogs and people and still looks good. Amazing even me!

  • Does a great job on original King Ranch leather
Works great on King ranch leather. Only thing I don’t like is the smell. Would be awesome if it had a leather smell available. Along with the ingredient list.
