  • Nice watch band
Color: Silver
I bought this watch band to use with my Fenix 7X Sapphire solar, not really expecting much. It was $50 compared to the Garmin version which is $300. I can't tell you if it's titanium, it's not overly heavy so it's probably not stainless steel. It seems good quality, my last one broke and as a result my watch fell on the ground so I am pretty particular about the durability of these watch bands at this point. I can honestly say that I trust this watch band so far, it's only been 5 days so I can't say long-term yet. It has a very nice clasp, it was extremely easy to adjust the links. If you are on the fence about getting it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised for the price. You would probably get a little bit nicer band from Garmin, but you're going to pay six times the price so you have to make that choice. For me, I work in construction so I fully expect this watch band to get pretty beat up. I definitely trust it a lot more than the silicone one it came with. On a side note, it looks really slick. Definitely adds to the overall aesthetic of the watch and makes it look like a high-end watch. I won't feel bad about beating up this watch band, I would probably feel bad about beating up a 300 plus dollar Garmin watch band. I may still end up getting the Garmin one but it's probably pretty unlikely at this point because this is a pretty nice band. One small thing that may bother some people is that there is a little bit of play where the band attaches to the Phoenix 7X which leaves a 1/4 inch gap on the attachment bar. It's still fully secure, and in my opinion having a little bit of play there actually makes the band a little better because it allows more movement which I think makes the band more comfortable. I don't know if the version from Garmin has this but if that would be a problem for you then probably get the Garmin one. ... show more

  • Looks great, feels sturdy, good value
Color: Black
The band looks a lot better than the one that came with my Epix. It feels sturdy, has a little more weight than the original silicone band, and fit the watch quite well. Removing links is like most other metal bands...just need a steady hand, a paper clip, and patience. This is a good value. Very pleased with the purchase. ... show more

  • Great Value
Color: Black
I've been using this band for almost a year now and every day I'm impressed with it. I use it on my 945, which I wear 24/7. I do switch out the band for workouts once a day and I don't wear the band in any water, so it avoids getting sweaty and wet, but it gets a lot of wear on the clasp. To that end, the only wear that I see on the strap is at the clasp, where the side of the clasp rubs against the watch. It's completely hidden while the band is installed, so this does not bother me at all. I like to think that I am careful with the watch and band, but with two kids under 5, there's only so careful I can be, so the fact that the band has been unscathed over the last year is really impressive. I can't speak to the actual material used - I know some other reviewers called into question whether this is actual titanium. I have no reason to doubt it, and the band is stamped with a "T", though it would be easy enough to stamp steel with a T. Sizing the band was easy enough. I was definitely glad it is something that only had to be done once, but the tools to do it are included and, while it took some fine motor skills and some curses, I did manage to get it sized relatively easily all things considered. Let's just say that there was nothing with the band itself that made it difficult to size, just the mechanism that any link-based watch band would use that is by its nature difficult. Speaking of sizing, prior to this, I had a conventional watch with a stainless steel band. I'm used to wearing a watch with a band that has some play on my wrist. It's not ideal for getting accurate heart rate readings from the 945, especially when it slips down my wrist and sits near my hand directly on top of my wrist bone (the closer to your elbow and tighter you wear your watch, the better the readings will be). For me, the comfort aspect is well worth the slightly less accurate HR readings. I don't have any agitation on my wrist from wearing the band like I did for the Fitbit I wore with a silicone band. My wrist gets to breathe, which prevents the area under my watch from getting sweaty/stinky and just generally gross. This band definitely feels worth the money to me. The official Garmin band at $200 seems so ludicrous and I can't imagine spending that much on any accessory, and while $50 is not cheap, considering how much I wear this watch and how much more it is than just a fitness device, it has been worth the investment. And I am happy to say it has really held up. ... show more

  • Good fit, stylish and solid. Could benefit from softer edges.
Color: Black
An excellent alternative to Garmin’s default rubbery straps, which take some one-hand-tinkering to open an close. This system allows you to snap your watch on and off in one clean, instantaneous movement. The color is close enough to the watch to make it look original. Since it’s made of titanium, it’s very lightweight and solid, while also keeping with my Fenix’s Titanium finish. They also added a Garmin logo, which adds to its original looks (not sure how they managed to get past the trademark police here :-) There are only three things that I would change if I were the manufacturer: - Explore more permanent tinting systems. This one can get scratched if abused enough (though, granted, titanium can be a nightmare to work with in any way that interacts chemically with it) - The internal edges of the latch could be smoother for comfort when they come into contact with the occasionally contorted hand. - This has not ever been a problem so far, but I can already see that the hinges along the strap are not the most solid engineering alternative. While their design makes size adjustments easier, this benefit is relevant only once or twice over the lifetime of the strap. The rest of the time, you just want the hinge to hang on for dear life no matter what. In my opinion, designs that use a solid rod held in place by an internal sprung metal ring are much better in this respect. ... show more

  • Very nice product
Color: Silver
Purchased this bracelet for my Garmin Epix 2 and had it professionally sized and adjusted at a local watch repair shop ($15). The bracelet appears well made, is lightweight and is very comfortable on the wrist. The clasp functions smoothly and the color matches well with the natural titanium bezel. Overall, very pleased with the purchase. ... show more
