  • I was surprised
I've bought more than a few straps/bracelets for my Garmin Fenix5S and so far, this has been the best. The original strap made my wrist itch since it was either a bit tight or a bit loose on my wrist. To get proper readings, I needed it to be a bit tight and I would sweat during exercise and then get a rash. So, I went looking for straps made of nylon weaving, cotton, etc. I was not thinking bracelet because most after-market bracelets, especially at a low price point such as this one, are flimsy, break easily and look cheap. This bracelet is well made and I think it'll last a long time. I've been wearing it for 2 months to date and I see no reason to suspect it will fail in any way. The band holds on tight to the lugs, which is very nice because many of the other straps I got were not "quick release" and required removing the lugs and, despite what I've seen in some reviews, the band stays closed during rigorous exercise. The band looks good. So far the wood has not shown any signs of scratches, dents or breakage. The only mini-complaint I have so far is that, just recently, I noticed that the clasp has gotten a bit scratched. If this were a high-end bracelet (which might easily cost over $200 and which I have not seen for the Garmin) the black might be ceramic or colored through the metal. On this, if you scatch the bracelet, the thin layer of paint will expose the metal underneath. Still, it is minor and it did not scratch easily; I am rough on watches and I was checking every day when I first got it to see how soon the clasp would develop scratch marks. It has taken 2 months and, again, they are minor scratches. I notice them, most anyone seeing me wear the watch would not. I have a large collection of high-end watches (my wife wonders why with all of my beautiful watches I wear this Garmin) and I've had a lot of experience with good and bad bracelets. I will say again, that for the price this is an excellent product and I have been very pleased. I waited a while to write this review, fully expecting to say "It's good looking but cheap and fell apart after 2 weeks" but, I have been pleasantly surprised. I don't know if this will last a full year but I think it will. Even then, at this price replacing it every so often if I want to for cosmetic reasons is not a big deal. It does what it is designed to do which is to keep it comfortably on my wrist without falling off when I exercise and it looks nice. BTW, the installation was easy but I am familiar with the task. A little patience and a steady hand, just as is required with any bracelet installation, and you'll have this on the watch and fitted in just a few minutes. ... show more

  • Like the looks, but the clasp could be better.
I've had this watchband for about a month now and I'm not disappointed that I bought it. First, I really like the unique look that this gives my Fenix 5 Plus, so it looks more professional when I'm at work or out and about. The links are easy enough to add or remove and the quick fit mechanism has worked fine without any instances of it coming off of my watch unexpectedly. The only issues I've had with it are the clasp mechanism could be a little better designed. I own a couple of other metal watchbands and I prefer their clip mechanism better. It's not that it has failed, just that I've seen and used better designs that are more natural for me. This may not be a big deal to some people though. Lastly, the two links on either side of the clasp mechanism are starting to show some wear on the "wood." The polished coating is wearing off. I'm guessing just from placing my wrist on my desk when typing, etc. Not really noticeable while wearing the watch, but I noticed it when I was switching out the band. Also, I feel I should throw this out there as well: I don't run or do any sport activities with this band. This is purely for looks when I'm not active, so I can't speak to it's performance if for some reason someone would want to wear this while working out... Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and the above reasons are the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. ... show more

  • This thing is gorgeous and functional
Well worth the thirty dollars, I've used it for a week now and it is comfortable, seems well crafted and built and the process for extending or shrinking the wrist was easy. I love the way it clasps and I love the deep wood color. This brand has won my loyalty, I highly recommend buying this

  • Love the band, but it is made of wood
Great look (I get lots of compliments) very comfortable, and durable until a section of the wood broke away without my awareness. I use the stock silicone band during workouts because I can get it to the right size on my wrist, and swap it out for this band at all other times. I would wear this band even when I was doing yard work (digging, moving rocks, etc.) and didn’t encounter any issues until I saw this damage to one section. It wouldn’t have been a big deal if this section could be removed as I have spare links. But this section is not removable, unfortunately. So gonna have to live with this damage until it gives. 4 months of hard use. Maybe I expected too much. ... show more

  • Cheap but effective.
For the price, this watch band is pretty solid. The materials feel a bit cheap, but it does the job. Adjusting the band is a bit technical, but overall simple. It's comfortable enough for daily wear. My one true gripe though is the durability. It feels and sound like it's going to break when stress is applied from the side. Overall not bad for the price. It's nothong super fancy. Just a cheap replacement band. A bit noisy, but it works. ... show more
