This eye pencil glides on very well and lasts all day. The color is really nice. Unfortunately after one week, the tip broke off this morning. Im so disappointed, I wanted to love this. I'm in my mid 60's and retired. I am olive skinned with a salt & pepper short pixie cut. I don't wear much makeup but I do feel like I need to do a little every morning - - if not for any other reason but that it just makes me feel a little more put together - - - even if I am just running out the the market. I don't do much and definitely don't spend a lot of time - - - some sunscreen moisturizer, a bit of liner, mascara, blush and lip gloss every morning. I just tried this eyeliner pencil in the deep charcoal and I love it. I will say that the first time I applied it, I was shocked at how dark it was. I got the dark charcoal and it looked jet black. The main reason for this is that I was used to using a regular pencil as a liner and didn't realize how soft and silky this Laura Geller pencil was. Using the same pressure with this that I used to use with a normal pencil caused the over application. I wiped it off and tried again using a much lighter touch. Perfect. I tried using both my finger and a stiff brush to blend. I personally prefer using the stiff brush because it gives me a little more control, but either blending method work well. I will say that although this is a soft pencil and not a liquid liner, it does seem to dry and set after a bit. If I line one eye, line the other one then go back to smudge the first one, the liner doesn't smudge very easily as it seems to have set and doesn't allow for very easy smudging or blending. I've developed a new routine now and I line one eye then smudge that one before going onto the other. I guess in a way, the fact that this liner seems to "set" is a good thing because even my light application lasts all day long without melting away or fading. I haven't tested it's actual waterproof-ness by going for a swim yet, but it does seem to stay put even after a run and a workout. I'm going to order another one in a shade of brown too. I am using this in San Francisco where the weather is cool. We spend half the year in Hawaii though, so my only unknown concern is how these soft pencils will hold up in that warmer and more humid climate. ... show more

I purchased this thinking it was for brows, it took me weeks to realize it was eyeliner for some odd reason. Nevertheless, this is the BEST eyebrow liner I have ever used in my life & that’s saying a lot at my big age! It glides on quick & stays put for hours, it looks so natural too. I don’t really wear a lot of eyeliner because I find wearing less makeup makes me look way younger & innocent, but when I do wear eyeliner, this is a good go-to to just line my upper lids. I want to start by saying I love Laura Geller makeup. I've been wearing the foundation, primer, blush & brightener for years and it still looks great. The color of this pencil is gorgeous, but it's a bit thick for being a liner. I prefer a thinner line. So that's why 4 stars instead of 5, but if you're ok with a thicker line then this is as fabulous as everything else she makes. ... show more
